Where Winds Meet DLSS 5 is scheduled to arrive on Monday 23 November 2026, according to NVIDIA. The update will add 3D-Guided Neural Rendering to Everstone Studio’s open-world RPG, giving the game’s lighting and materials an additional visual treatment.

The game already has DLSS Super Resolution and Multi Frame Generation for compatible hardware. The November update adds a different rendering stage, not a replacement name for those existing options. Here’s what the date means, which computers can use it and how to prepare.

Where Winds Meet DLSS 5 release date

NVIDIA’s 3 November announcement names 23 November 2026 as the planned date. An earlier October announcement only said late November, so the later specific date is more useful for anyone keeping track of the rollout.

NVIDIA hasn’t given a universal patch hour. That means there is no verified 6pm UK or US morning release time to convert into other regions yet. Players should watch for the actual game update on their own platform rather than assuming the feature has appeared just because the calendar has reached 23 November elsewhere.

Where Winds Meet DLSS 5 is still upcoming as of 4 November. The update is separate from any new region, quest or other live-service game content. A gameplay patch isn’t automatically the graphics patch unless the developer confirms that the feature is included.

What Where Winds Meet DLSS 5 will change

3D-Guided Neural Rendering works near the end of the image pipeline, using the engine’s original scene, geometry and motion information to give lighting and materials a more lifelike appearance. NVIDIA says the new model can bring extra detail to surfaces, shading and illumination without changing the underlying game world.

That makes the upgrade especially relevant to the open landscapes, historic architecture, elaborate clothing and character presentation in Where Winds Meet. It doesn’t mean the game is receiving a completely new ray-tracing system or that a graphics option can add content absent from the game itself.

The developer decides how the effect is tuned. Publisher comparisons show the intended look, but the right way to judge it on your own screen is to compare the same scene under the same graphics settings once the new option is available. Where Winds Meet DLSS 5 should be treated as an optional visual upgrade rather than a guaranteed improvement for every player’s taste.

Where Winds Meet DLSS 5 GPU requirements

For local play, NVIDIA lists GeForce RTX 50-series desktop graphics cards, RTX 50-series laptop GPUs and RTX Spark systems as supported for the new 3D-Guided Neural Rendering stage. GeForce NOW Ultimate is also included as a cloud option when a supported updated game session is available.

An RTX 40 or RTX 30 card can still use DLSS features it already supports in the game, but it is not included in NVIDIA’s current local neural-rendering support list. Super Resolution and frame generation are separate technologies, so seeing those options does not mean your PC will necessarily display the new switch.

NVIDIA hasn’t announced a game-specific minimum VRAM requirement for Where Winds Meet DLSS 5. Its report of reduced 4K memory usage for the latest neural model doesn’t establish a universal memory floor or guaranteed performance for any individual GPU.

GeForce NOW Ultimate performs rendering on NVIDIA’s servers. Your device displays the stream and does not need to contain an RTX 50 GPU itself. NVIDIA has not listed the cloud Free and Performance tiers for this feature.

How to enable Where Winds Meet DLSS 5

First install the game’s official 23 November update after it becomes available. On a supported local GPU, also install NVIDIA’s compatible driver, such as version 621.14 or a later supported release. Then check the updated game’s graphics options for Neural Rendering.

NVIDIA hasn’t published an exact Where Winds Meet menu route for the new setting. It would be misleading to invent a particular advanced-graphics submenu, quality slider or restart instruction before the developer shows the final interface. A third-party mod isn’t part of the confirmed process either.

If Where Winds Meet DLSS 5 does not show up once the update has arrived, check the installed build, graphics-card model and driver. On the cloud service, confirm your Ultimate membership and the availability of the updated game build. A local RTX 40 system doesn’t gain compatibility simply because a newer driver is installed.

DLSS 5 versus Super Resolution and Multi Frame Generation

Super Resolution builds a higher-resolution image from a lower-resolution render. Multi Frame Generation adds displayed frames between frames the engine has actually rendered on supported hardware. The new 3D-Guided Neural Rendering stage instead changes how the final image portrays lighting and material details.

These technologies can work together when implemented by a developer, but they are not interchangeable. Enabling frame generation does not automatically switch on Neural Rendering, and the latter should not be advertised as a universal fixed FPS increase.

NVIDIA’s broader DLSS 5 performance demonstrations aren’t a per-game benchmark for Where Winds Meet. Without a stated test system, resolution and settings from the developer, it’s better to focus on the supported hardware and visual purpose than invent frame-rate numbers.

Should you update your driver now?

Driver 621.14 is available ahead of the November game updates, so players on supported GeForce hardware can install it when convenient. There is no need to change your currently working Super Resolution settings while waiting. The game integration is what makes the new option appear.

The practical plan is to check your GPU, keep the driver current, download the real game patch and compare the results after 23 November. Until then, Where Winds Meet DLSS 5 is a confirmed future update, not a setting that can already be activated on the live game.
