How to reach it quickly
Follow the early Wayward Souls quest marker or travel to the Overseer’s Camp and continue along the road. This is the most useful navigation detail for Where Is The Wayward in Fallout 76 because region names alone can cover a large part of Appalachia.
The Wayward is also where Smiley appears after Wastelanders progression for the weekly Caps-to-Gold-Bullion purchase. Discovering the marker is worth doing even if you only need the location once, since Fallout 76 regularly reuses hubs for quests, vendors and public activities.
Common location confusion
