Warzone Ghost Train is no longer a vague Haunted Hollow mystery: the live map now gives you a clear way to stop it and phase it back into reality. The train circles the map as a glowing, translucent object, and the key is using one of the signal levers beside its route before it reaches the signal.
Once you get the timing right, the train stops and becomes solid long enough for you to board. That opens access to Supply Boxes, a Buy Station and the Mystery Box, but the window does not last forever. Other squads can see the same opportunity, so getting the train stopped is only half the job.
How to stop and activate the Warzone Ghost Train

The Warzone Ghost Train is activated with a signal lever positioned beside the railway. Activision’s Season 06 patch notes confirm that activating a train signal causes the train to stop and phase into reality. Live players have now pinned down the practical part that the patch notes do not spell out: pull the lever while the green train is still approaching, not when it is already on top of the signal.
- Find the glowing green Ghost Train and work out which railway line it is using.
- Move ahead of it to a signal lever beside that route.
- Wait until the train is visible but still has a decent distance to travel.
- Interact with the lever. The signal changes to red.
- Let the train reach the signal and come to a stop.
- Board once the translucent train becomes a solid, physical train.
If you pull the lever too late, the train can continue straight through without stopping. That is the frustrating bit if you know the signal is the answer but still cannot make the event trigger. Give the train enough distance to react to the red signal rather than waiting until the last second.

Current live testing has found fixed signal levers at several points along the two railway routes. You do not need to chase the train from directly behind it. Pick a lever that sits ahead of the direction it is travelling and wait there instead.

The Warzone Ghost Train can use different routes, so the nearest lever is not automatically useful in every match. Watch its direction first. Running to a signal on the wrong line wastes more time than simply waiting a few seconds to see where the train is actually going.
What happens when the Warzone Ghost Train becomes real?
When the Warzone Ghost Train phases into reality, it becomes a temporary high-value loot stop. The carriages contain Supply Boxes and a Buy Station, and the Mystery Box appears with a beam in the sky and an icon on the Tac Map.
Interact with the Mystery Box to roll for a reward and grab the item before it disappears. Activision also confirms a handy Zombies-style trick: if you do not want the item that appears, melee it to reject the result quickly and roll again. The train eventually returns to its ghost state, so do not spend the whole materialised window staring at one piece of loot.
Why the Ghost Train sometimes refuses to stop
If the Warzone Ghost Train refuses to stop, the most likely problem is timing. The signal needs to be changed while the train is still far enough away to stop. If the lever has been pulled but the train sails straight past, get ahead of it at another signal and try earlier on the next approach.
It is also worth checking that you are standing on the route the train is actually using. Haunted Hollow has more than one railway path in play, and live testing shows signal points on both. The train itself is easy to recognise because it is bright green and translucent before activation.
