Pokémon Legends Z-A Vivillon patterns come in 20 designs, but the October Mystery Gift Spewpa can evolve into only 16 of them. Meadow, Marine and Garden are usually found in Lumiose City, while the rare Poké Ball Pattern belongs to a separate worldwide reward. Spewpa evolves into Vivillon at level 12.
If you’re collecting Pokémon Legends Z-A Vivillon patterns, it helps to know which wing designs the special gift can give you. Below you’ll find all the patterns, the Spewpa evolution line, Vivillon’s weaknesses and its base stats.
How to evolve Spewpa into Vivillon
Spewpa evolves at level 12. Its earlier form, Scatterbug, evolves at level 9. You can also encounter Vivillon in Wild Zone 13. The October Spewpa Mystery Gift uses that same level 12 evolution.
What changes with the special gift is the pattern you receive. A Spewpa claimed through Mystery Gift evolves into one of 16 random designs rather than the three usually found in Lumiose City.
All 20 Pokémon Legends Z-A Vivillon patterns
There are 20 Pokémon Legends Z-A Vivillon patterns in the current collection: 16 possible Mystery Gift results, three ordinary Lumiose patterns and the special Poké Ball Pattern reward.
| Pattern | How it is featured |
|---|---|
| Icy Snow, Polar, Tundra, Continental | Random gift evolution |
| Elegant, Modern, Archipelago, High Plains | Random gift evolution |
| Sandstorm, River, Monsoon, Savanna | Random gift evolution |
| Sun, Ocean, Jungle, Fancy | Random gift evolution |
| Meadow, Marine, Garden | Normally found in Lumiose City |
| Poké Ball | Separate worldwide challenge reward |
You can’t choose a pattern when you evolve the gifted Spewpa. The result is random, and Meadow, Marine, Garden and Poké Ball are excluded from the gift’s possibilities.
How to get Pokémon Legends Z-A Vivillon patterns from Mystery Gift
The promotional Spewpa is available from 29 October 2026 until 1:59am GMT on 19 November 2026. After unlocking Rewards in Mable’s Research, open the X Button menu and select Link Play, Mystery Gift, then Get via Internet.
You need an internet connection and a Nintendo Account linked to the playing profile, but you don’t need a Nintendo Switch Online subscription. The gift is available in both regular Switch and Switch 2 editions, and it can only be claimed once per save file.
The distribution offers a chance to add another wing pattern to your collection, but the gift is limited to once per save. You can’t repeatedly claim Spewpa to choose a missing design.
Vivillon Challenge and Poké Ball Pattern reward
The event also counts Spewpa evolutions towards a 660,000-point worldwide total. Spewpa from wild zones and side missions contribute when they evolve, not just the Mystery Gift Pokémon. The shared counter on the official challenge website refreshes hourly.
The gift Spewpa cannot evolve into Poké Ball Pattern Vivillon. That form is tied to the worldwide 660,000-point goal, and Pokémon will announce its distribution timing separately.
Remember that the 19 November cutoff is for claiming the free Spewpa. It is not an announced end date for the separate global challenge.
Do Pokémon Legends Z-A Vivillon patterns have different weaknesses?
No. All wing patterns have the same type matchups. Vivillon is Bug and Flying. Rock is its biggest weakness, dealing four times normal damage. Fire, Electric, Ice and Flying are also super effective, dealing double damage.
Vivillon has some useful resistances, but Rock moves are particularly dangerous because they deal quadruple damage.
Do Pokémon Legends Z-A Vivillon patterns have different stats?
No. Its wing design doesn’t change its stats. Vivillon’s base stat total is 411. Special Attack is its highest offensive stat at 90, closely followed by Speed at 89. Its Defense and Special Defense both sit at 50, so it isn’t a Pokémon that should rely on taking repeated heavy hits.
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| HP | 80 |
| Attack | 52 |
| Defense | 50 |
| Special Attack | 90 |
| Special Defense | 50 |
| Speed | 89 |
| Total | 411 |
With 90 Special Attack and only 50 in each defensive stat, Vivillon is better suited to attacking than taking repeated hits. In Z-A’s real-time battles, positioning matters, especially against Rock, Fire and Electric attacks.
How to complete your Vivillon pattern collection
Start with the ordinary Lumiose forms and evolve your Spewpa as you progress. Claiming the event Spewpa adds a chance at one of the 16 special random patterns, while the rare Poké Ball Pattern belongs to the separate challenge reward.
To work on your Pokémon Legends Z-A Vivillon patterns collection, start with the ordinary Lumiose forms, claim the event Spewpa before 19 November and follow the separate global challenge for Poké Ball Pattern. Record which pattern the gift evolves into, since you can’t select it in advance.
