AutoSave Finally Arrives in The Sims 4

One of the most requested features has officially arrived.

The Sims 4 now supports AutoSave, allowing the game to automatically create save points while you play. Players can customise exactly when AutoSave activates, including after travelling between lots, after certain periods of gameplay, or following important gameplay milestones. Save behaviour can be adjusted through the game’s Save Settings menu.

Save Reminders Give Players More Control

Alongside AutoSave, EA has introduced fully customisable Save Reminders.

Rather than automatically saving your game, Save Reminders can display notifications reminding you to create a manual save whenever you choose. Players can adjust how frequently these reminders appear or disable them completely if they prefer.

Together, AutoSave and Save Reminders offer much better protection against lost progress during long play sessions.

Memory Boost Is Now Available on Every Platform

Memory Boost has now rolled out across PC, Mac, Xbox and PlayStation.

According to EA, the new system improves memory management while playing, helping reduce lag, improve frame rates, shorten loading times and lower the chance of crashes caused by memory limitations.

Players with large households, heavily decorated lots or older save files are expected to notice the biggest improvements. EA also says Memory Boost may improve save stability by reducing memory-related issues that could affect long-running saves.
