Apple TV+, Apple Music, and Apple One to increase their prices

Apple raises prices of Apple Music, Apple TV+, and Apple One

Last Updated on: 25th October 2022, 01:54 am

Apple Music, Apple TV+, and Apple One subscriptions are increasing their prices as of October 25, 2022. Apple cites licensing costs as its reason.

Apple is following suit with the rest of its competition as the company has decided to increase its pricing for its multiple subscription-based services.

This is after the announcement of Disney+, Netflix, and other streaming giants that they will increase their monthly subscription prices.

The big players in the streaming competition seem to put the weight of their move on the increase of cost in licensing. The increase will also affect the Apple One bundle.

Comparing charges of Apple TV+ and other streaming services

Monthly subscribers are looking at a 1-2 dollar increase in their monthly subscriptions. Some companies, like Netflix, are starting to be more creative.

They are putting more options for their subscribers. They are planning to launch a monthly subscription with ads. However, other competing companies have offered this, like Hulu and HBO Max.

The subscription prices for Apple Music, Apple TV+, and Apple One will increase beginning today. The change to Apple Music is due to an increase in licensing costs, and in turn, artists and songwriters will earn more for the streaming of their music. We also continue to add innovative features that make Apple Music the world’s best listening experience. We introduced Apple TV+ at a very low price because we started with just a few shows and movies. Three years later, Apple TV+ is home to an extensive selection of award-winning and broadly acclaimed series, feature films, documentaries, and kids and family entertainment from the world’s most creative storytellers.

Apple’s official statement of the increase

If you’re starting to doubt your loyalty to Apple after this impending increase in their service cost, or if you just want to compare how much each of the streaming giants is planning to increase the cost of their monthly subscription, here’s a table that can give you a better picture of that:
