Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Avatar Legends Festival starts Friday, October 16 at 1 AM BST and ends Monday, October 19 at 12:59 AM BST. For three days, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds players compete on one of three teams, earning points from race placements and special challenges. The rewards include gadgets and cosmetics shown on SEGA’s official reward chart.
During Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Avatar Legends Festival, your finishing position earns points for your team, but special tasks such as Touch Dash also matter. Check the active challenge list between races.
Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Avatar Legends Festival: festival start and end times
SEGA gives the Festival window as October 16, 9 AM JST to October 19, 8:59 AM JST. Converted to the UK, that’s October 16 at 1 AM BST through October 19 at 12:59 AM BST. This is the Festival weekend, not the October 14 date when the paid DLC launched.
The three-team competition is separate from the paid DLC that launched October 14. Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Avatar Legends Festival runs October 16–19, so you can race for event rewards without buying the character pack.

Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Avatar Legends Festival: how teams earn festival points
Players are placed into three competing teams. Racing placements contribute points to the team’s running total, meaning finishing well helps your side across the duration of the event.
Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Avatar Legends Festival also has Touch Dash challenges. Read the current objectives before racing so you can earn more than placement points.
Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Avatar Legends Festival: festival rewards and official graphic
The Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Avatar Legends Festival offers a set of cosmetics and gadgets displayed in SEGA’s event reward graphic below. The announcement confirms that these are Festival rewards, but the accompanying text does not give every item name and numerical points threshold. Use the reward graphic and the game’s active reward track to see where your chosen item sits.
SEGA specifically says that Festival gadgets can become obtainable through later game updates and that some Festival rewards may become available by other means in the future. That doesn’t establish when, or guarantee every cosmetic will return. If you want a particular item during the October event, follow its live unlock requirement rather than relying on a future rerun.

How to earn Festival points
Enter the Festival during the event window and join your assigned team. Race placements contribute points towards your team’s total; special objectives, including Touch Dash tasks, offer additional ways to earn points. SEGA says this is a competition between three teams, not an individual time-trial event. Check the current tasks before racing, because their conditions can be different from normal placement goals.
Check the active Festival tasks and the points you earn at the end of each race. The event’s reward track shows how far you’ve progressed and which cosmetics or gadgets are still available.
Do you need the paid DLC?
The Avatar Legends DLC launched October 14 with Aang, Katara, Gliding Air, Lion Turtle Island and five songs. That is separate from the Festival’s three-team racing competition. Purchasing the pack doesn’t complete Festival missions or grant all progression rewards. If you want the playable characters and vehicle, see the Avatar Legends Pack guide.
Before the Festival ends
Install the latest Sonic Racing CrossWorlds update and check the Festival interface as soon as it becomes active. Join your assigned team, race for placement points and keep an eye on the special tasks for opportunities to contribute further.
Make sure you collect any rewards you earn before the event closes on October 19. The Festival is different from the paid Avatar Legends DLC, which adds Aang, Katara, Lion Turtle Island and the Gliding Air machine. Don’t confuse purchasing the pack with automatically completing team challenges.
