The Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Godzilla Pack launches on November 3, 2026, as the first paid collaboration of Year Two. It includes the Godzilla Escape course and three monster-inspired machines: Godzilla Cruiser, King Ghidorah Coupe and Mothra Surf. The announcement also confirms themed music and sound effects.

You don’t need to confuse it with Bayonetta, who arrives through a free update on the same day. The Godzilla content is DLC in Season Pass Two, whereas Duel Mode and the new gadgets are free additions to the base game. Here is everything actually included and what hasn’t been confirmed.

Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Godzilla Pack release date

November 3, 2026 is the confirmed launch date. The release begins Year Two alongside the new 1v1 Duel Mode, the Grand Master Gadget Plate and free Bayonetta content. SEGA hasn’t provided a separate universal UK unlock hour for Godzilla, so a midnight release time isn’t something to promise.

Once the date arrives, make sure your game has updated and your DLC licences are installed. The Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Godzilla Pack is not a Rival Duel prize and buying it shouldn’t require you to defeat a particular CPU opponent to unlock the course.

All Godzilla Pack vehicles and the new course

Content type Confirmed name Description
Track Godzilla Escape Godzilla-themed racing course
Machine Godzilla Cruiser Godzilla-inspired vehicle
Machine King Ghidorah Coupe Three-headed dragon-themed vehicle
Machine Mothra Surf Mothra-themed vehicle
Audio Godzilla-themed sounds Additional music and sound effects

SEGA has officially named those three vehicles. The Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Godzilla Pack is not advertised as containing three playable monster characters. A themed machine is a kart or other vehicle, not an additional driver in the character selection screen.

How to buy Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Godzilla Pack

Godzilla is included in Season Pass Two, which is listed at $29.99 US and covers six collaborations through 2027. The Year Two Digital Deluxe Edition includes the base game and Season Pass Two. SEGA has also described separate pack purchases, but the reviewed announcement doesn’t provide a confirmed standalone Godzilla price, so check your store before budgeting for an individual download.

If you already own the base game, buy the relevant DLC rather than another game bundle. The Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Godzilla Pack may need to be selected or installed separately when your purchased Season Pass Two entitlement is recognised.

Is Godzilla a playable racer in CrossWorlds?

SEGA has not listed Godzilla as a playable driver in this pack. The confirmed features are the course, the three machines and audio additions. That’s different from Evangelion, which explicitly names Rei Ayanami and Asuka Shikinami Langley as playable racers, and the Sanrio pack, which names Hello Kitty and Kuromi.

Players hoping to choose Godzilla from the regular character roster should treat that as unconfirmed rather than an entitlement from the Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Godzilla Pack. The vehicles celebrate Godzilla, King Ghidorah and Mothra without implying the monsters themselves occupy racer slots.

Godzilla Pack versus November 3 free update

The November 3 system patch introduces Duel Mode, Rival Duel unlocks, fifteen gadgets and the boosted seventh gadget slot. Bayonetta and Butterfly Witch are free to unlock. None of those features require the Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Godzilla Pack or Season Pass Two.

The paid pack instead provides its licensed track, machines and audio. If you plan to play only Duel Mode, skip the DLC purchase and update the base game. If Godzilla Escape is what you actually want to race on, the pass or pack is the relevant purchase.

What DLC follows the Godzilla Pack?

  • Evangelion arrives January 2027 with Tokyo-III, two racers and three EVA machines.
  • Virtual Sanrio Puroland is scheduled for April–June 2027 with Hello Kitty and Kuromi.
  • SEGALAND and Midgar, the Final Fantasy VII Remake collaboration, are scheduled for July–September 2027.
  • Reload Revival Royal, themed around Persona, follows in October–December 2027.

These are the other collaborations included in Season Pass Two, not extra items added to the individual Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Godzilla Pack. Later packs have broad windows and some as-yet-unnamed racers, so don’t assume every franchise character is already confirmed.

Godzilla Pack missing after purchase

  • Before November 3 the pack has not reached its stated release date.
  • Make sure the purchased pass or pack belongs to the same platform account running the game.
  • Check whether the Godzilla DLC needs its own download or content licence refresh.
  • Install the free Year Two game patch before searching for the course and machines.
  • Do not search Rival Duel rewards for the Godzilla items; that’s Bayonetta’s free unlock system.

The Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Godzilla Pack has enough confirmed content to make a clear buying decision: one new course, three named machines and themed audio. An exact standalone price or playable monster driver has not been established.
