Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Season Pass 2 is the paid Year Two DLC bundle covering six collaborations, beginning with Godzilla on November 3, 2026. SEGA’s newly announced pass costs $29.99 in the US, with Evangelion, Virtual Sanrio Puroland, SEGALAND, Final Fantasy VII and Persona collaborations scheduled through 2027.

There’s an important buying distinction: Bayonetta, Duel Mode and the upgraded Gadget Plate are part of the free Year Two update, not extra content you have to buy this pass to access. And the Super Shadow ownership bonus requires both season passes, not just this one. Here’s exactly what you’re paying for.

What does Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Season Pass 2 include?

DLC pack Release window Confirmed racing content
Godzilla November 3, 2026 Godzilla Escape course; Godzilla Cruiser, King Ghidorah Coupe and Mothra Surf machines
Evangelion January 2027 Tokyo-III course; Rei Ayanami and Asuka Shikinami Langley; EVA-01, EVA-00 and EVA-02 machines
Virtual Sanrio Puroland April–June 2027 Hello Kitty and Kuromi racers; Apple Kart, Charming Cruiser and a themed course
SEGALAND July–September 2027 A crossover course; machines inspired by After Burner, OutRun and Super Megalo
Midgar (working title) July–September 2027 Final Fantasy VII Remake-themed course, two unnamed racers and one machine
Reload Revival Royal October–December 2027 Persona-themed course, two unnamed racers and two machines

The mid- and late-2027 dates are broad release windows. Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Season Pass 2 doesn’t yet have a precise release day for each future collaboration. SEGA also hasn’t named the Midgar or Reload Revival Royal drivers, so assume only the confirmed course and character counts for now.

Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Season Pass 2 price and purchase options

SEGA has listed a US price of $29.99 for Season Pass Two. Its new Year Two Digital Deluxe Edition, containing the base game and the second pass, is listed at $59.99. The standard game is also advertised at $39.99 in the US. Regional taxes, currencies and discounts can change the exact checkout price elsewhere.

If you already own Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, the separate pass is the relevant purchase. You don’t need to buy the Year Two Digital Deluxe Edition just to obtain new content. If you don’t own the game, the bundle is designed as a game-plus-pass entry point, but it doesn’t replace the first pass.

SEGA console machines and controller decals

Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Season Pass 2 also comes with the SEGA Consoles Pack, featuring three machines inspired by SEGA console history. The new pass additionally includes SEGA controller decals. These are separate extras from the six collaboration packs; the console vehicles aren’t the same as the Godzilla-themed machines.

Do you get Super Shadow with Season Pass 2?

Only when you own both Season Pass One and Season Pass Two. SEGA’s dual-ownership reward comprises Super Shadow and the Super Dark Flare machine. Buying the new pass alone isn’t advertised as enough. If you bought the original Digital Deluxe Edition, check whether that includes the first pass, then add the second.

Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Season Pass 2 is therefore a different buying decision depending on your library. A player who only wants Godzilla can look at the individual pack when it launches; someone who wants all six Year Two collaborations should compare that with the pass. Players chasing Super Shadow specifically must satisfy the two-pass ownership rule.

What is free without Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Season Pass 2?

  • Bayonetta arrives November 3 with the Butterfly Witch machine, emotes and sounds, and is unlocked through Rival Duel.
  • Duel Mode adds 1v1 racing, offline Rival Duel, online Free Match, competitive Best-of-10 events and Friend Match options.
  • The Grand Master Gadget Plate adds a boosted seventh slot, with a one-slot-gadget restriction.
  • Fifteen new gadgets arrive alongside the free Year Two system update.
  • McLaren Sonic is scheduled for late November, and Aigis from Persona 3 arrives in early 2027 as separate free character additions.

Those free items aren’t secretly part of Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Season Pass 2. The DLC pass pays for the licensed crossover pack lineup and its purchase bonuses. If you mainly want November’s head-to-head racing, you can play the update without buying a pass.

Should you buy Season Pass Two now?

If you’re interested in at least several of the six collaborations, the complete pass is the straightforward option. If you’re buying for one specific franchise, wait until SEGA publishes that pack’s standalone price and final content list so you can compare. The biggest risk isn’t missing a mystery unlock; it’s purchasing the full game bundle again when you already own the game.

Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Season Pass 2 starts with a confirmed Godzilla-themed course and three machines. It doesn’t promise that Godzilla himself is a playable racer, and the still-unnamed Final Fantasy and Persona characters shouldn’t be advertised as confirmed.
