Skate No Comply controls have changed in update 0.32.5, which releases October 13, 2026. To trigger a basic No Comply, tap your front-foot push button and quickly flick the right stick down while your foot is still planted. The new setup adds a Straight No Comply and changes Frontside, Backside and Dark Catch variations.
The difference with the new Skate No Comply system is how you control rotation. The right stick now selects the variation, and the trick works on more ramps, transitions and walls than before. If your old muscle memory is causing the wrong move, these steps explain how to start over.
How to do a Skate No Comply in update 0.32.5

Start with the plain Skate No Comply on level ground. Press the button assigned to your front-foot push, then move to the right stick and flick it down as the foot contacts the ground. You need to be quick: Full Circle’s developers say the updated timing window is less than half a second, around 30 frames.
- Skate on a flat, open area without other actions queued.
- Tap your front-foot push, not your back-foot push.
- Immediately flick the right analog stick downward.
- Let the No Comply pop and land before attempting a rotation.
- Repeat the sequence until the push-to-flick timing feels natural.
Your push button may differ with your controller layout. There’s no need to memorise somebody else’s face-button mapping. Use the front-foot push control shown in your own settings; the right-stick flick is the same principle for each setup.
Straight, Frontside and Backside No Comply inputs
Update 0.32.5 introduces three clear Skate No Comply directions. Straight No Comply is new. Frontside and Backside have been reworked and are now selected using the right stick rather than the old rotation control on the left stick.
| Variation | Input sequence |
|---|---|
| Straight No Comply | Front-foot push then quick straight downward right-stick flick |
| Frontside No Comply | Front-foot push then right-stick diagonal flick or scoop towards the Frontside option |
| Backside No Comply | Front-foot push then right-stick diagonal flick or scoop towards the Backside option |
| No Comply to Dark Catch | Perform a No Comply and follow it with your Dark Catch input |
EA describes a diagonal flick or a pop-shove-it-style scoop for choosing Frontside and Backside. The patch notes do not specify one universal left-versus-right diagonal for every stance. The updated Skatepedia entries show the correct pattern for your control layout; use those to pick the intended direction.
How to use No Comply to Dark Catch
The new Skate No Comply to Dark Catch lets you move into a Dark Flip or Darkslide after the pop. First complete the front-foot push and right-stick No Comply input, then use the Dark Catch action that you normally use with your layout. Dark Catch is a continuation, not a different way of pressing the initial push.
Practise the first half before adding another input. When you’ve got reliable pops, approach a ledge and work on catching the board dark for a Darkslide, or use the move to flow into a Dark Flip. The game still uses the Dark Catch setting already assigned to your controller.

No Comply 180, 360, fakie and ramp changes
Skate No Comply 180s now put you into fakie, while 360s bring you back to the stance you started in. EA also improved consistency when using the left stick to spin and raised the trick’s pop height to slightly above a medium-height Ollie.
You can use No Complies on more slopes and ramps, including transitions and walls. You can’t push normally on a wall, but Full Circle changed its trick queuing so the No Comply can be triggered in more situations. The added height and timing changes should make it easier to build a line through different obstacles.
Why Skate No Comply isn’t working after the update
If Skate No Comply doesn’t trigger, the most common problem is the short timing between your front-foot push and the downward flick. Move your right thumb immediately. A back-foot push won’t give you the same input, and an angled right-stick flick may select a rotated version.
- Check that you’re using the front-foot push assigned in your settings.
- Practise a straight downward flick before a scoop or diagonal input.
- Use the right stick for Frontside/Backside selection; rotation no longer uses the original left-stick method.
- Check the new No Comply diagrams in Skatepedia if you’re unsure about stance-specific directions.
- Try flat ground first, then test the expanded ramp, wall and transition support.
The Skate No Comply rework is available with patch 0.32.5 on October 13. There’s no separate quest to unlock its new Straight or Dark Catch variations, although the game needs the latest update for the new inputs and Skatepedia instructions.
