Rocket League Foxy Topper: How to Get 87 Centers or Clears Fast

Rocket League Foxy Topper is a free reward for getting 87 Centers or Clears in Competitive Matches during Haunted Hallows 2026. Both stats contribute to one counter, so you don’t need to win 87 matches or perform 87 of each. You also don’t need the paid Five Nights at Freddy’s bundle, and regular Casual or Free Play touches won’t satisfy the Competitive requirement.

The catch is that this one has to be done in Competitive. You can work towards it as you play ranked matches, though, by clearing the ball properly when you’re defending and crossing it into the box when you attack. Both help your team as well as your event progress.

How to unlock the Rocket League Foxy Topper

From Rocket League’s main menu, open Challenges and select Haunted Hallows. The Foxy The Pirate Fox Topper requires 87 Centers or Clears in Competitive Matches. Queue from the Competitive section, finish your matches and revisit Haunted Hallows to see the challenge counter. Once you hit 87, claim the reward and open Garage → Customize Car → Toppers to equip Foxy.

The Rocket League Foxy Topper is a roof cosmetic, not an Avatar Border, Player Banner or Goal Explosion. If it doesn’t appear in your Garage after the counter fills, go back to the event Challenges screen and look for the claim button before assuming it failed.

What counts as a Center or Clear in Rocket League?

StatWhat you’re trying to doWhere it usually happens
CenterSend the ball across a dangerous area in front of the other team’s goalAttacking corner and side wall
ClearHit the ball out of danger from near your own goal and defensive endDefensive box, back wall and corner

Rocket League awards these stats when its own scoring system recognises the play. Not every touch near the other goal is a Center, and tapping the ball a few feet in front of your own goal may not count as a Clear. Look for the game’s Center Ball or Clear Ball notifications rather than assuming you have earned one from every hit.

Both credited stats count towards the Rocket League Foxy Topper. Clear when your team is under pressure; look for a Center when you get forward. There’s no need to spend entire matches trying only one type of touch.

Fast way to get Clears for the Rocket League Foxy Topper

Rotate back when the other team attacks. Hit an incoming ball out of your goal area and towards the side or midfield, ideally to a teammate. Clears can come naturally from stopping pressure near your own goal. A stronger clearance that carries the ball away from danger is more useful than a weak touch that immediately hands possession back.

Don’t sit in goal doing nothing while hoping the other team shoots at you. You’ll miss opportunities to challenge and can make your team easier to score against. The best progress comes from repeated legitimate defensive plays across ordinary ranked matches.

Fast way to get Centers for the Rocket League Foxy Topper

Bring the ball down the side of the pitch, then cross it in front of the opposition goal. Corners and side-wall approaches create more natural crossing opportunities than driving straight into the middle of a crowd. A teammate may score from the delivery, but a goal is not required for a Center to register.

When playing with friends, tell them to expect a cross. They can move towards the goal while you send the ball across it. In solo queue, watch where your teammates are before making the pass: the Rocket League Foxy Topper challenge is easier to stick with when your crosses also create genuine scoring chances.

Which playlists count for the Rocket League Foxy Topper?

Use Competitive playlists because the challenge wording specifically says Competitive Matches. The event’s Spooky Arcade playlists are not automatically eligible. Heatseeker: Haunted, Spooky Cube and Up to No Good are fun alternatives, but don’t assume they progress Foxy just because they’re available during Haunted Hallows.

Other FNAF rewards work differently. Freddy needs 83 Online Match ball touches, Bonnie needs 50 dodges, Chica needs 15 demolitions, and Faz-Token Wheels require both a goal and a win in five Online Matches. See the complete FNAF Halloween challenge guide for the other nine objectives.

How to check Rocket League Foxy Topper progress

Look at your Haunted Hallows counter before you start, then check it after one complete Competitive match. If you want the game’s Centers and Clears pop-ups visible during play, look under Settings → Gameplay for Game Stat Display Level and use All Stats if that setting is available in your current version. The reward tracker is still the final word on whether a particular play counted.

If the Rocket League Foxy Topper counter doesn’t move, double-check that you’re in Competitive rather than Casual, training, private or an Arcade playlist. Let the match finish and check the event screen again. A cross or defensive touch that looked right to you may not have met the game’s conditions for awarding the stat.

When does the Rocket League Foxy Topper expire?

Psyonix confirms Haunted Hallows runs until Monday 2 November 2026, 9 AM Pacific, or 5 PM GMT in the UK. Complete the 87 credited plays and claim Foxy before that deadline. There is no announced carry-over of unclaimed progress, and the paid shop cosmetics are separate from the free Topper.

The Rocket League Foxy Topper should cost nothing as long as you complete the Competitive objective in time. Buying the Freddy Goal Explosion or the Five Nights decals will not complete Foxy’s challenge. If you have only a few matches left today, try to work on Clears while defending and Centers whenever you join an attack.
