Roblox Error Code 264 appears when your account tries to enter the same experience on two devices at once. Leave the game on the first device, close Roblox there, then join again on the device you want to use. It’s a clash between active play sessions, not a ban.

This often catches people who start playing on a phone and then switch to a PC or tablet. If you’re not sure which device is still connected, Roblox lets you review active logins in your account’s Security settings. You can sign out the old session without changing anything else.

What does Roblox Error Code 264 mean?

Having Roblox signed in on more than one device is not itself the problem. The error appears when both devices try to launch the same experience. Check the other screen for a game that has been left open, including one running in the background.

How to fix Roblox Error Code 264

  1. Leave the Roblox experience on your first device. If the game cannot be closed normally, force-close Roblox there.
  2. On the device showing the error, return to the Roblox home screen or quit the app.
  3. Open Roblox again and join the experience on one device.
  4. If the conflict remains, restart the device you plan to play on and check that no other device has rejoined.
  5. Use the session-management controls below if you cannot identify or access the other device.

Reinstalling Roblox won’t close a match that’s still running on another device. End that session first. If the error continues after you’ve checked your logged-in devices, restart Roblox and try again.

How to check and sign out other Roblox sessions

If Roblox Error Code 264 keeps appearing, sign in and open Settings → Security → Where you’re logged in. On the Roblox website the settings icon is a gear; on mobile open More first. You’ll see the approximate region, device and recent activity for each session. Roblox also provides individual sign-out controls.

  1. Open Settings and select Security.
  2. Scroll to Where you’re logged in and select a session to inspect its details.
  3. Choose Log out of session for a device you are no longer using.
  4. For a complete reset of other devices, use Log Out of All Other Sessions, then try joining the experience again.

You can sign out one session rather than every device. An entry labelled Unknown is often an older login with incomplete details, so compare its last activity with your own before treating it as suspicious.

Does Roblox Error Code 264 mean someone accessed your account?

Not necessarily. Most players should check their own other devices first. However, if you see a session you genuinely don’t recognise, sign it out, change your password and enable two-step verification. Do those steps directly in Roblox account settings. Don’t give your password or a one-time security code to someone offering to fix the problem for you.

If you can no longer sign in, use Roblox’s official account-recovery and support options. Remember that an error message doesn’t identify who started a session, so you should base any security action on the session information rather than assuming a hack.

Roblox Error Code 264 on Windows, iPhone and Android

On Windows, close Roblox Player and any extra Roblox windows, then restart the computer if necessary. Roblox’s official troubleshooting includes reinstalling the application from an authorised source as a later option. On Mac, quit Roblox fully, try again and check app permissions if it still won’t open correctly.

On iPhone or iPad, swipe Roblox away from the app switcher. On Android, close it through Recent Apps or Force Stop. Reopen after you’ve ended any conflicting login. If the mobile app continues to struggle, check the network connection and that your phone’s date and time are accurate before considering a fresh installation.

264 versus other Roblox error codes

Roblox Error Code 264 differs from error 277, where a connection to the game server is lost, and 279/ID 17, where the game fails to connect. Codes 267 and 600 concern access restrictions issued by an experience creator. Changing your Wi-Fi will not fix a duplicate session that is still active on another device.

If Roblox Error Code 264 persists after closing the first game, signing out old sessions and restarting, contact Roblox Support with your device, the experience name and the exact message. You can explain which sessions you closed and which devices you’ve tried, without sending passwords or verification codes.
