PUBG Update 44.1 arrived on PC on November 4, 2026, with Ranked Season 44, a reversal of the LMG experiment and tougher vehicles. Console players get it on November 12, alongside controller changes that won’t reach PC until December.

Not everything arrives on the same day. If you’re wondering why Xeno Point: Hell isn’t showing yet, or why a friend on another platform has the update first, here’s the schedule and the changes that matter.

PUBG Update 44.1 release dates and server downtime

KRAFTON scheduled PC maintenance for November 4, 00:00 to 08:30 UTC and console maintenance for November 12, 01:00 to 09:00 UTC. November is on GMT in the UK, so those UTC times are also the UK times. These windows can change if work runs late; the scheduled finish is not a guarantee that every server will immediately be back online.

Ranked Season 44 and the P90 skin

PUBG Update 44.1 starts Ranked Season 44 and resets the leaderboard during maintenance. The new season has a permanent Ranked P90 weapon skin available as a tier reward. KRAFTON also raised the minimum standards for Platinum and above, without listing new numerical thresholds in the patch notes.

Season 43 rewards are delivered through Inventory or Edit Profile once Season 44 starts. Weapon and parachute skins and medals are permanent, but several profile items last only for the following Ranked season. The Ranked map pool is Erangel, Miramar, Taego and Rondo, each with a 25% share.

Why the LMG experiment is ending

The M249 and MG3 are returning to their pre-August balance. The PUBG Update 44.1 changes roll back adjustments affecting reloading, recoil, aiming speed, vehicle damage, stance-based recoil control and world spawn amounts. The RPD, which arrived in August, is instead adjusted to fit alongside the other LMGs.

KRAFTON says the August LMG buffs made those guns too dominant, leaving players with less reason to choose other weapons. A new approach to Meta Rotation is planned for 2027.

Dawnbreakers Nightmare and Xeno Point: Hell dates

Dawnbreakers of Rondo returns with a single Nightmare difficulty in Jadena City. Rookie and Veteran aren’t available this time. Stronger Hungers arrive earlier, generators need more fuel, and the final defence is harder. You can queue alone, but the challenge is balanced for four players without scaling down for a smaller team.

Its four sectors climb from the old Normal difficulty to Impossible. Enemy strength adjusts to squad size, while dying removes your inventory and one randomly selected equipped weapon or piece of gear.

Vehicle trunks, tougher tyres and map changes

PUBG Update 44.1 raises vehicle health by 8% to 15%, depending on the model. The Van, Pico Bus and Food Truck gain trunks with 300 storage capacity. The Coupe RB’s capacity increases from 100 to 120. Selected vehicles get stronger tyres, and the BRDM-2 receives better acceleration, hill climbing and top speed.

Normal Match maps rotate weekly by region, separately from the Ranked pool. Console controllers also gain quicker tap-and-hold recognition and an improved Message Radial. The equivalent PC controller changes are scheduled for Update 44.2 in December.

Which PUBG Update 44.1 changes are still coming?

Some older crates and keys are due to disappear in December’s Update 44.2, not in the November patch. Compensation depends on the item, and Steam Marketplace restrictions begin during November. Treat the December removal date as a scheduled future change rather than something that’s already happened.

Beyond those headline changes, the patch includes collaboration content, Workshop improvements, observer updates and bug fixes. Follow the related guides below if you want the full Ranked rewards, weapon details, regional maps or console control changes without digging through every line of the patch notes.
