PUBG crates removed December 2026 will take a selection of old crates and keys out of PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS in Update 44.2. That update is planned for December, not November. KRAFTON has also published the compensation for players who still own affected items when they are removed.
The amount depends on what you actually own. A Gamescom Invitational Crate pays 6,200 BP. Most other old crates pay 3,600 BP, while certain keys are worth 250 G-Coin instead. The Random Crate has two separate entries in KRAFTON’s table, so don’t assume they both pay the same bonus.
When are PUBG crates removed December 2026?
KRAFTON schedules the removal for Update 44.2 in December 2026. The November 44.1 patch introduces the plan, but those items are not removed with the PC update on November 4 or the console update on November 12.
An exact December release day has not been confirmed in the patch announcement. You can still use the listed crates and keys before removal. If you still own an eligible item when the December update applies, the developer says compensation will be granted.
PUBG crates removed December 2026: BP and G-Coin compensation table
The compensation is different for crates, marketable keys and their non-marketable equivalents. BP means Battlegrounds Points, while G-Coin is another in-game currency; neither is a cash refund.
| Item | Compensation at Update 44.2 |
|---|---|
| Gamescom Invitational Crate | 6,200 BP |
| Random Crate (including Contraband Coupon Crate), special table entry | 3,600 BP plus one Contraband Coupon Crate |
| Other listed crates, including the separate standard Random Crate entry | 3,600 BP |
| Desperado, Weapon Skin, Aviator, East Erangel Police and Early Bird keys | 250 G-Coin each |
| Specified non-marketable Weapon Skin, Aviator, East Erangel Police and Early Bird keys | 3,600 BP each |
The regular 3,600 BP group includes Survivor, Biker, Desperado, Militia, Western Military, Raider, Fall 2018, Season Crate 2019, Venetian, Fever, Triumph, Equinox, Aviator, East Erangel Police, Wanderer and the separately listed standard Random Crate. The special Random Crate entry that includes a Contraband Coupon Crate pays an additional coupon crate.
Which keys are part of PUBG crates removed December 2026?
The original Desperado Key, Weapon Skin Key, Aviator Key, East Erangel Police Key and Early Bird Key are listed for 250 G-Coin each. The table separately names non-marketable Weapon Skin, Aviator, East Erangel Police and Early Bird keys at 3,600 BP.
This isn’t a blanket payout for every key in PUBG. Match the full name of your key, including whether it’s non-marketable, to the official compensation table. The different key types pay different currencies.
Can you still open PUBG crates removed December 2026 items?
Yes, until the December update. KRAFTON says that you can continue using affected crates and keys before they disappear. Whether you open them or leave them untouched is your choice. The developer has not required a special early claim for the compensation described in the November patch notes.
Trading is a different issue. Steam Community Market restrictions begin with the November update, and KRAFTON warns they may take some time to appear. A listing still visible during that transition doesn’t change the announced December removal plan.
Are PUBG crates removed December 2026 refunded with real money?
KRAFTON’s table doesn’t promise money back to your bank account or Steam Wallet. It specifies BP, G-Coin or the additional Contraband Coupon Crate for the special Random Crate entry. The compensation isn’t calculated from a key’s price on the Steam Community Market.
If you bought an older key from a marketplace, avoid using that marketplace price as a prediction of compensation. KRAFTON set fixed in-game amounts for the affected types, and those fixed rewards differ even between marketable and non-marketable versions.
What to do before PUBG crates removed December 2026?
Check the names of your remaining crates and keys, including any non-marketable labels. You can open eligible ones before December or leave them for the listed compensation. KRAFTON says eligible items still held at the update will be compensated; there’s no separate early-claim instruction.
The important dates are straightforward. Update 44.1 in November introduces Steam Market restrictions for the affected items; Update 44.2 in December is scheduled to remove them and award compensation. The final December release timing has not yet been announced.
The PUBG crates removed December 2026 changes are one part of the larger Update 44.1 roadmap, which also starts Ranked Season 44 and revises weapons, maps and vehicle storage. Those guides are linked below.
