PUBG Dawnbreakers of Rondo is the fourth Survivors Left Behind mode, turning Rondo into a four-player co-op PvE survival run. Your squad has to fight through Hungers, find Gas Cans, power a Generator and defend a Capacitor long enough to send the escape signal.
The mode is live on PC from October 14 to November 4, with console players getting it from October 22 to November 12. Rookie and Veteran difficulties use the same basic objective loop, but Veteran is where the ranking system matters: only Hunger kills from successfully cleared Veteran matches count toward the leaderboard.
How to play PUBG Dawnbreakers of Rondo

Open Play → Arcade → SLB: Dawnbreakers of Rondo to start PUBG Dawnbreakers of Rondo. You can queue alone, invite friends or use automatic matchmaking. Squads support up to four players, and Auto-Fill can complete a party that starts with fewer than four.
The mode is FPP only and friendly fire is disabled. You can technically enter with one player, but the later defense sections are designed around sharing jobs such as fuel collection, crafting and holding the Capacitor area.
How the Generator and Capacitor objective works
Every PUBG Dawnbreakers of Rondo stage eventually leads to the same escape objective. Follow the cables connected to the Generator, search the area for Gas Cans and bring enough fuel back to restore power.
The Generator supplies the Capacitor, which then has to charge while your squad defends it from Hungers. If the Hungers destroy an activated Capacitor, its charging progress resets. Once it reaches full charge, the escape signal becomes available and the stage can be completed.
At least one teammate needs to survive through the objective. Completing the stage awards difficulty and stage rewards, with permanent rewards added to your inventory.
All six Dawnbreakers of Rondo locations
PUBG Dawnbreakers of Rondo uses six major areas from Rondo. You can choose the location and difficulty when starting a session.
| Location | Area |
|---|---|
| Jao Tin | Opera |
| Yu Garden | Garden area |
| Yun Gu | Mall |
| Rin Jiang | Docks |
| Stadium | Stadium |
| Jadena City | City area |
Rookie vs Veteran difficulty
Rookie and Veteran change the number, composition and stats of the Hungers. Rookie is the better place to learn the Generator route, crafting system and defense phase without tying every mistake to leaderboard progress.
Veteran is the competitive version of PUBG Dawnbreakers of Rondo. Hunger kills only count toward the Bridge ranking if the match is on Veteran and the stage is successfully cleared. Kills from Rookie or failed Veteran runs are excluded.
Vending Machines, Crafting Desks and unlimited ammo
Each stage begins with a Vending Machine that gives you a basic weapon. Materials collected during the run can then be spent at Crafting Desks on stronger weapons, consumables, food and deployables.
Ammo is unlimited in PUBG Dawnbreakers of Rondo, so the main resource pressure comes from crafting materials and positioning rather than hoarding every bullet. Stronger weapons still need rarer resources, which makes it worth deciding what the squad actually needs before everybody spends from the same pool.
All soup buffs
Food provides temporary combat buffs, and you can run up to three different soup types at the same time. Each also comes in Regular and Superior tiers, with Superior food giving stronger effects for longer.
| Soup | Effect |
|---|---|
| Vegetable Soup | Faster reload speed and reduced recoil |
| Pork Stew | More HP and movement speed |
| Spiced Broth | Increased knockdown effect when enemies are hit |
Best deployables for the Capacitor defense
Deployables become especially useful during the final defense. Light Turrets cover a laser-defined lane, Heavy Turrets use explosive rounds, and Manned Turrets trade movement for sustained fire. Barbed Wire slows Hungers, while Spike Traps damage them and apply Bleed.
Weapon Crates can also provide four Hand Cannons, Flamethrowers or Grenade Launchers for the squad. Flamethrowers are poor against fire-resistant Hungers, so PUBG Dawnbreakers of Rondo rewards mixing defensive tools instead of stacking one weapon type around the Capacitor.
The Healing Station creates an area that restores HP, removes debuffs and revives downed allies. The new Anti-Personnel Mine sticks to surfaces and automatically detonates when an enemy gets close.
New Hungers and how to deal with them
| New Hunger | What it does | Best response |
|---|---|---|
| Shield Alpha Hunger | Blocks frontal attacks with a shield | Aim for the head or attack from behind |
| Shooter Hunger | Uses a firearm from range | Break line of sight and close the gap carefully |
| Dog Hunger | Rushes quickly while staying low | Track low and avoid aiming only at chest height |
The older Hungers return alongside these new types, so later waves can mix close-range rushers with ranged pressure. That is where turrets, traps and soup buffs become much more useful than relying on raw gun damage alone.
How Blue Chip recall works
A dead teammate is not automatically out of PUBG Dawnbreakers of Rondo. Pick up their Blue Chip from the deathbox and take it to a Recall Station inside a Safehouse.
Because only one teammate has to remain alive for the squad to keep going, a rough wave does not always mean the run is lost. Recovering the Blue Chip before committing to the next objective can be better than attempting a three-player Capacitor defense with no recall prepared.
Carry-over weapons and equipment
First Aid Kits, crafting materials and throwables can carry into the next match. Stage rewards can also include permanent carry-over weapons and equipment with their own combat effects.
| Carry-over weapon |
|---|
| MG3 |
| Mk14 |
| Affected M249 |
| Affected Groza |
| Affected O12 |
| Affected AUG |
The equipment rewards let you tune future PUBG Dawnbreakers of Rondo runs around a role. Armored gear reduces incoming damage, Combat Vest improves healing, Demolition Helmet buffs throwables, Engineer Helmet buffs deployables, Hauler Backpack adds carrying capacity, and the three belts improve soup strength, consumable speed or soup duration.
How Dawnbreakers rankings work
The ranking is based on total Hunger kills and can be viewed through PUBG Bridge. You first need to finish Beginner Training and claim its rewards, or wait until the mission period ends before ranking participation opens.
Only kills from cleared Veteran matches count. Rookie kills and kills from Veteran matches that end in failure are excluded. PUBG Dawnbreakers of Rondo also does not award Weapon or Survival Mastery XP, affect Match History or regular stats, or support replays.
