Pokémon GO Wild Area Sendai 2026 runs from 6 to 8 November, with ticketed gameplay from 10 AM to 6 PM JST each day. The event covers Sendai City and Miyagi Prefecture, while its separate seven-stop stamp rally stays within Sendai City. A main one-day ticket costs ¥4,000.

The main attractions are Steel- and Dragon-type encounters, Dynamax Dialga and Palkia, and the debut of Gigantamax Duraludon. There’s also Special Research, a citywide stamp hunt and plenty to do at official Sendai venues. Here’s how to fit the different activities into your ticket day.

Pokémon GO Wild Area Sendai 2026 dates and gameplay area

The main gameplay window is 10 AM to 6 PM JST on 6, 7 and 8 November, equivalent to 1 AM to 9 AM GMT in Britain. Ticket holders must physically be in Sendai City or elsewhere in Miyagi Prefecture to access exclusive gameplay.

You’ll need to be in the event area for ticket-exclusive encounters and Location Backgrounds. Players without a ticket can still take part in ordinary Pokémon GO gameplay, including standard raids and trades, but buying an in-person ticket won’t activate the event from home.

What Pokémon appear in Sendai?

Featured Max Battles include Dynamax Dialga, Dynamax Palkia and six-star Gigantamax Duraludon. Raid bosses include Machamp wearing a modern jacket, Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Shield Zamazenta. Wild Pokémon change between Solid as Steel and Daring as Dragons habitat hours.

Steel hours include Beldum, Lucario and Tinkatink, while Dragon hours feature species including Dratini, Gible, Deino and Frigibax. Hisuian Sliggoo makes its wild debut, and 100 Goomy Candy evolves it into Hisuian Goodra.

Mighty Pokémon are difficult to catch, so keep GO Safari Balls for the encounters you most want. Sendai’s lineup includes Lapras, Haxorus, Hydreigon and Kommo-o. The special balls can only be used during the 10 AM to 6 PM event gameplay window.

Pokémon GO Wild Area Sendai 2026 Special Research

Your ticket unlocks a Steel- and Dragon-themed Special Research story, with two medals and an encounter with Gigantamax Duraludon featuring a Sendai Location Background. Other eligible Pokémon caught after in-person raids and Max Battles can also have the Sendai background. Remote battles don’t award it.

Two separate Steel- and Dragon-type Timed Research experiences involve decorated PokéStops around the city. These return on any Extra Days you buy, unlike the main story. Finish the tasks and claim the rewards by 8 PM JST on each eligible day.

Pokémon GO Wild Area Sendai 2026 stamp rally and play areas

The seven-stop stamp rally runs from 10 AM to 8 PM JST on your original ticketed day. All locations are in Sendai City, including Tsutsujigaoka Park, Daterium, Sendai City Museum and AEON Mall Sendai Kamisugi. You may visit the stops in any order.

The Sendai stamp-rally guide lists every stop and shows how to collect the stamps. For other in-person attractions, Tsutsujigaoka Park hosts a Pretend Tanabata Festival Pikachu meet-and-greet, while Sendai City Museum has a Pokémon GO art exhibition from 11 AM to 4:30 PM on event days.

Event bonuses and what to prioritise

Pokémon GO Wild Area Sendai 2026 offers increased Shiny chances, 2× catch Candy, half Hatch Distance, up to ten Raid Passes from Gyms daily and additional Max Particle benefits. These bonuses don’t guarantee Shiny encounters. Battle Ready increases the daily Raid Pass total to 18.

Plan raids, Max Battles and wild encounters for the main 10 AM to 6 PM session. The stamp rally remains available until 8 PM, which also gives you time to finish and claim that day’s Timed Research. If you’re visiting attractions outside the city centre, leave time to get back to the stamp stops.

For Pokémon GO Wild Area Sendai 2026, the location difference matters: regular ticketed gameplay reaches across Miyagi Prefecture, but the seven stamp locations are in Sendai City. Check your main ticket date before making plans for another part of the prefecture.
