Modern Warfare 4 perks use three slots, with six choices in each tier at launch. Blood Rush is now in the second slot and unlocks at Player Level 4; equipping it enables Tactical Sprint. Ninja and Fast Hands also occupy Perk 2, so you can’t use those with Blood Rush in a normal three-perk class.
Infinity Ward changed the perk layout after the beta, so older classes may no longer match what you see on October 23. The full unlock table below shows all 18 launch choices, their tiers and the level you need to equip them.

Modern Warfare 4 perks: Pick 3
Players equip one Perk from each of three slots.
Judge perks inside a real class rather than as a menu feature. Keep the surrounding setup familiar so you can tell whether the system changes anything you actually do in a match.
Modern Warfare 4 perks: Perk 1
Confirmed options include Overkill, Ninja, High Alert, Quick Fix and Ghost.
The map can change the value of perks quickly. Large sightlines make anti streak or information tools more attractive, while cramped objectives put more pressure on clearing equipment and fast recovery.
Modern Warfare 4 perks: Perk 2
Fast Hands, Hardline, Bomb Squad and Tracker appear in the second slot.
Use perks before the important fight, not after it. A Tactical, Lethal or streak is strongest when it creates the opening the team needs to score rather than simply adding another elimination.
Perk 3
Scavenger, Lethal Reach, Blood Rush, Combat Grid, Battle Hardened and Cold-Blooded appear in the third slot.
Keep a second loadout when perks needs to do a completely different job. Create a Class has enough space for specialist setups, so one class does not need to compromise across every mode.
More at Launch
The beta exposed 16 Perks with several available through default classes; more are planned for launch.
How to equip Modern Warfare 4 perks
After Level 4, open Multiplayer → Create-a-Class, choose your custom class and select Perk 1, Perk 2 and Perk 3 in turn. Each slot accepts one choice from its own tier. If a particular perk remains greyed out, check the level requirement in the table above before looking for a separate unlock challenge.
Start with a useful early combination like Quick Fix, Blood Rush and Combat Grid, all available at Level 4. As you level up, you can build quieter routes around Ghost and Ninja or use Bomb Squad and Battle Hardened for survival on objective modes. The Create-a-Class guide covers setting up and selecting your saved loadouts.
Blood Rush, Tactical Sprint and competing Perk 2 picks
The most notable change to Modern Warfare 4 perks is Blood Rush enabling Tactical Sprint, which is no longer a default ability. Equip it in Perk 2 and press Sprint once under the default Single Tap Run setting. Kills replenish Blood Rush stamina. You can change the control behaviour in Settings → Movement Advanced Settings.
Blood Rush competes with Hardline, Bomb Squad, Fast Hands, Ninja and Birdseye. Choosing Fast Hands means giving up Tactical Sprint, while choosing Ninja gives up Blood Rush’s speed for a quieter approach. For other movement skills, see our movement guide. The Multiplayer overview covers game modes where faster rotations matter.

Why can’t I equip Ninja or Ghost yet?
Some Modern Warfare 4 perks unlock later than returning beta players expect: Ghost is Level 24, Ninja is Level 30, and Birdseye is Level 40. Check Career → Progression to see which rank you’ve reached. Beta screenshots also use a previous layout, so check the Perk tier itself if you cannot find the option.
If a class seems to lose its perk after spawning, confirm you entered the game with the same loadout you edited. Once you’ve settled on perks, Gunsmith helps tune the weapon for that playstyle, and our Firing Range guide explains how to test it.
