The second-to-last spotlight hour of March 2022 will feature Sudowoodo, the imitation Pokemon, as well as doubled capture experience.

What can we expect from the Sudowoodo spotlight in Pokemon Go?

If you haven’t caught a Spotlight hour in Pokemon Go before, I’ll tell you the basics in a moment. If you are instead familiar with these events, head on to below the image in this article to see the date for the event.

Now, for those of you who are not familiar with these events, in short, they are hour-long spawn replacement style effects, similar to what a Community day does on a more time-limited scope.

In this case, that means all spawns will be replaced with Sudowoodo, or at least the majority of all spawns will be, bugs excluded. That’s great news if you’re a fan of Sudowoodo, not so much otherwise. These events do throw in a bonus to give you something extra in case you don’t like the Pokemon in question, and in this case, the bonus is doubled capture experience.

I wouldn’t say that’s one of the best bonuses, but if you can consistently manage great or excellent throws on Sudowoodo it may be a good chance to boost your account experience quite nicely.

When is the Sudowoodo spotlight hour?

The Sudowoodo spotlight hour for Pokemon Go takes place on the 22nd of March at 6:00 PM local time, and runs for an hour as you may expect from the name, until 7:00 PM local time.

Is there anything else to mention?

Sudowoodo is enabled as a Shiny Pokemon in the wild at the moment, which means that this can make for an excellent opportunity to farm for the shiny variant for anyone who wants to do so.
