Rounding out this month of Pokemon Go Spotlight hours is Natu, certainly an unusual choice to be following three Kanto Starters, but here we are.

If you happen to already have more than enough Natu or are simply otherwise uninterested in the Pokemon, you can still make use of this Spotlight hour event, as the event also features a doubled experience bonus for any evolutions that occur during.

When is the Pokemon Go Natu spotlight hour?

The Natu spotlight hour in Pokemon Go will be starting on July 27th at 6:00 PM and ends an hour later at 7:00 PM, as you might expect from the name of the event.

As always for spotlight hours, times are local, so don’t worry about handling anything to do with timezones and simply keep an eye on your usual clock.

What can we expect from the Natu spotlight hour?

For anyone who isn’t used to these types of events yet and is simply here because they like Natu in particular, Spotlight hours are, in short, 1-hour long sessions of all spawns being replaced with the featured Pokemon. It’s basically a limited-time version of the spawn effects you’d see for a Natu community day.

That’s pretty great if you like Natu, but not so good if you’re not a fan of the Tiny Bird Pokemon.

Usually the Spotlight hours make up for this by offering an additional bonus, but this Spotlight hour has doubled evolution experience as it’s bonus effect. This is, in all honesty, one of the worst possible modifiers and you’re unlikely to get much use out of it unless you specifically planned around it.

Is there anything else?

Fortunately, there is always the other major benefit of Spotlight hours. They make excellent chances to farm for the Shiny version of the Pokemon that is featured – in this case, Natu – due to the drastically increased spawn rate.

And fortunately for any Shiny hunters out there, Shiny Natu is enabled in Pokemon Go already, so you can find them during this Pokemon Go Spotlight hour.
