Marvel Rivals Deal 20,000 Damage to Thanos is a Path to Doomsday: Avengers Endgame mission that rewards the Thanos Plush accessory and an Avengers: Endgame spray. The target is damage to Thanos himself in the 50-player PvE fight, not general damage to his army.

Storm and Phoenix are strong boss-damage picks, while Iron Man can maintain ranged pressure. Staying alive matters more than choosing an unfamiliar hero. Here’s how to use each phase of the fight, check which damage registered and claim the accessory after the mission completes.

What counts for the mission

The goal is to deal 20,000 damage specifically to Thanos during the Path to Doomsday – Avengers: Endgame PvE mode. Other enemies roam the arena, but the objective names Thanos, so target him directly instead of padding general match damage by attacking Chitauri soldiers. Check the Endgame event mission panel for your progress. Public guides verify the threshold and prize, but they do not conclusively establish whether progress accumulates across sessions or whether your lobby’s damage is pooled. Your own in-game mission counter decides what counted.

Best damage heroes

Storm is one of the strongest boss-damage options in early player testing, especially with her Thor team-up, while Phoenix’s Spark attacks also punish a large stationary target. Both can reposition away from packed ground enemies. Iron Man offers reliable ranged pressure and flight, although later missiles still threaten airborne players. For Marvel Rivals Deal 20,000 Damage to Thanos, staying alive long enough to keep attacking is more useful than switching to a hero you cannot control. If you’re better with another ranged hero, that can be worthwhile: staying alive through the fight gives you many more opportunities to damage the boss than repeatedly dying with a supposedly optimal pick.

First two phases: Sword and Infinity Stones

During the sword phase, stand far enough away to avoid Thanos’s obvious swings, then keep hitting him between attacks. In Phase 2, he teleports and mixes in Infinity Stone effects. A red Reality Stone area can transform projectiles into bubbles, stopping ranged hits from connecting. Move outside that zone before firing. This is especially important when working towards Marvel Rivals Deal 20,000 Damage to Thanos, because missed attacks don’t move the boss’s health bar.

Marvel Rivals Deal 20,000 Damage to Thanos: Phase 3 and the final Snap

When Thanos raises his Infinity Gauntlet, expect powerful ranged abilities and falling missiles from Sanctuary II. Look up when he pauses with his arm raised, then move out of the impact zones. Flying heroes must also move because the attacks can hit airborne characters. During the last phase, Thanos begins a Snap countdown. Attack him immediately with your available abilities and damage Ultimates. The whole team needs to finish the boss before the timer reaches zero.

Marvel Rivals Deal 20,000 Damage to Thanos: Get more damage without dying

Use your Ultimate multiple times during a long fight when you can, rather than saving every ability for an uncertain perfect moment. Avoid standing still in front of Thanos, and stay near a group with Strategists to receive healing. If Chitauri soldiers surround you, clear enough room to move and return to the boss. Most of the time, good positioning and surviving through all four phases will produce more total boss damage than risky point-blank attacks.

Marvel Rivals Deal 20,000 Damage to Thanos: How to check tracking

After the result screen, open the Avengers: Endgame event page and inspect the Marvel Rivals Deal 20,000 Damage to Thanos objective. The normal match scoreboard can include damage against minions, so do not rely on that single number as proof the boss-only challenge is complete. If the mission counter hasn’t moved, make sure you were in Thanos Descends, attacked Thanos directly and finished the run. The published mission guides don’t settle whether progress from separate sessions stacks. Check the task counter after each run instead of assuming an unfinished total carried forward.

Marvel Rivals Deal 20,000 Damage to Thanos: How to get the Thanos Plush

The Marvel Rivals Deal 20,000 Damage to Thanos reward is the Thanos Plush accessory alongside an Avengers: Endgame spray. Once the mission is marked complete, open the event rewards screen and claim the items if needed. This is not the same as the one-match completion objective, which awards Captain America’s The Winter Soldier costume and the Infinity Finale title. If the plush is missing, check your actual mission state and accessory collection before assuming the reward has failed.

Marvel Rivals Deal 20,000 Damage to Thanos: When can you try again?

Thanos Descends is a limited-time playlist, with scheduled two-hour windows over four consecutive weeks from October 24, 2026. It is not open for matchmaking 24 hours a day. Check the in-game event calendar for the next session. The wider promotion ends November 26 at 09:00 UTC, but the PvE fight’s sessions may end earlier. Times Square photo ops and the previous gallery card are different rewards, while Infinity Finale, Infinity War PvP and Alchemax 18v18 are separate activities. You can also tackle the ten-enemy-defeat and 10,000-ally-healing challenges in Endgame, although neither replaces boss damage for the plush reward.
