Marvel Rivals Infinity War Mode: 2v2 Rules, Stones and Free Gauntlet

Marvel Rivals Infinity War Mode

Marvel Rivals Infinity War is Season 10.5’s new two-versus-two mode, pitting six duos against one another for control of the Infinity Stones. Each pair starts with a Stone, fights another pair in short rounds and can steal more Stones by winning. The first team to collect all six wins. It launched on October 9, 2026, and stays playable until December 11.

There’s a free Infinity Gauntlet accessory to collect as well, with a mission to obtain ten Stones across your matches. You don’t need to win a single match with ten Stones, and you don’t need to buy the accessory. The mode has its own rewards and progression, separate from the Infinity Finale quests that unlock Thor’s Avengers costume.

How the Marvel Rivals Infinity War 2v2 mode works

Select Path to Doomsday – Avengers: Infinity War from the game modes after updating to Season 10.5. A match contains 12 players forming six teams of two, but each round is a duel between just two squads on Wakanda. You face different opponents as the tournament continues rather than fighting all 12 players at the same time.

Every duo has a shared team-health pool that carries from round to round. Losing a round damages that pool instead of ending your run immediately. When it reaches zero, you’re eliminated. Winning keeps you alive, takes an opposing team’s Infinity Stone and brings you closer to collecting the full set.

Marvel Rivals Infinity War began at 09:00 UTC on October 9, alongside an update with approximately two hours of scheduled maintenance. If the mode wasn’t visible as soon as the clock reached the start time, checking the patch download and server status was the right first step.

Looking for the newer Thanos battle? Marvel Rivals Endgame mode opens on October 24 with a 50-player cooperative fight and a free Captain America costume. It runs only in scheduled sessions. The Infinity War 2v2 matches and free Gauntlet missions covered here are a separate activity.

How to collect Infinity Stones in Marvel Rivals Infinity War

Each duo receives one randomly assigned Infinity Stone at the beginning. Win against another pair to take its Stone, adding another ability to your team’s options. A team can collect several as it survives more rounds, with all six Stones the official win condition.

In Marvel Rivals Infinity War, collecting Stones isn’t simply a matter of picking up six objects scattered around the map. The stones change hands through the duels. You need to survive fights, manage your shared health and take advantage of the abilities you’ve gained.

All six Stone powers in Marvel Rivals Infinity War

Each Stone comes with a distinct ability and a stronger enhanced effect. Here’s how the six have been presented in the mode’s launch coverage. The exact Mind and Power Stone descriptions weren’t fully documented in the previews, so use the in-game tooltip for their current numbers and effects.

Infinity StoneEffect
RealityCreates an area where enemy attacks become bubbles; its enhanced power can transform enemies
SoulSacrifices half your maximum health to fully heal your teammate, leaving you at least 1 HP; the enhanced effect gives more protection
TimeRewinds a short period, reversing recent actions and damage
SpaceProduces large shields or barriers and energy-beam attacks
MindUse the live Stone tooltip for the specific effect
PowerUse the live Stone tooltip for the specific effect

The Soul Stone can save a teammate who’s about to be eliminated, but it comes at a cost to your own health. Reality can interrupt opponents in a key area. As you gain Stones in Marvel Rivals Infinity War, make sure you’re using the additional abilities rather than relying only on the one your duo started with.

Playable heroes in Marvel Rivals Infinity War

The roster is restricted to 13 heroes associated with Avengers: Infinity War. They are Doctor Strange, Captain America, Groot, Thor, Black Panther, Black Widow, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Scarlet Witch, Winter Soldier, Star-Lord, Mantis and Rocket Raccoon. Pick from that selection before your match rather than assuming every character in the normal roster is available.

Mantis and Rocket Raccoon can provide support for a damage-focused partner, while pairs of aggressive heroes will need to be sharper about positioning and protecting team health. Marvel Rivals Infinity War rewards cooperation because both players depend on the same team-health pool between rounds.

How upgrade cards work between Marvel Rivals Infinity War rounds

After a duel, players choose from random upgrade cards that alter hero stats and skills for the current match. Some help survivability; others strengthen attacks or alter how particular abilities behave. Your choices can develop a different build each time you play.

In Marvel Rivals Infinity War, a strong upgrade isn’t necessarily the highest-damage option. If your team-health pool is running low, protecting yourself and your partner may be worth more than another offensive bonus. Look at the Stones your duo already has and pick cards that help with the next fight.

How to get the free Infinity Gauntlet in Marvel Rivals Infinity War

Find the Path to Doomsday – Avengers: Infinity War missions and complete the Collect 10 Infinity Stones objective. That unlocks the Infinity Gauntlet accessory for free. The ten Stones count across your progress in the event, not as one impossible ten-Stone collection inside a six-Stone match.

Marvel Rivals Infinity War also has missions awarding Units and Unstable Molecules. Check the objectives screen for the individual requirements and use the claim action after completing them. The Infinity Gauntlet isn’t a paid store item: NetEase explicitly corrected its patch notes after originally putting the accessory under a store heading.

The Gauntlet mission rewards are tied to this 2v2 mode, not to ordinary Infinity Finale quests. If you want the accessory, play matches and build your collected-Stone total rather than spending time looking for the item in the shop.

Marvel Rivals Infinity War end date and UK time

The mode ends December 11, 2026, at 09:00 UTC, which is 9:00 a.m. GMT in the UK. The separate Infinity Finale event ends on December 10, one day earlier. That event offers the free Thor costume; it doesn’t replace the Infinity War Gauntlet mission.

The Times Square Infinity War viewing and photo activities end even earlier, on October 22, and have their own Gallery Card, spray and Units rewards. Marvel Rivals Infinity War remains available long after those activities finish, so you can work on the Gauntlet across several sessions.

Tips for winning Marvel Rivals Infinity War matches

Coordinate with your partner before each round. Two players focusing on the same vulnerable target usually gain more than a pair splitting up and losing sight of one another. Protect your shared health, time defensive Stone abilities for dangerous moments and don’t burn everything on an opponent who has already escaped.

The best approach changes as you win Stones and draw new upgrade cards. In Marvel Rivals Infinity War, staying alive long enough to gain those extra powers is a core part of the strategy. Keep checking your partner’s health and your available Stone abilities after each duel, then decide whether to pressure the next team or fight more cautiously.
