Marvel Rivals Endgame mode is now playable during scheduled sessions, sending 50 heroes into a cooperative battle against Thanos at the ruined Avengers Compound. The October 24 opening sessions have finished, but the event returns on limited dates with a free Captain America: The Winter Soldier costume and seven other mission rewards to collect.
There are four Endgame missions, from finishing one match for Captain America’s costume to damaging Thanos for the plush accessory. Here’s when to queue, what to expect from the boss and how to collect the rewards.
Marvel Rivals Endgame mode: Thanos Descends explained
The Marvel Rivals Endgame mode is the 50-player cooperative fight labelled Thanos Descends in the mode selector. Everyone works against Thanos and his army at the ruined Avengers Compound rather than fighting other players. NetEase’s trailer and October update identify it as the latest Path to Doomsday event, following the smaller Infinity War playlist.
In the Marvel Rivals Endgame mode, the boss has four phases. His double-edged sword is an early threat, Infinity Stone abilities and teleporting appear as the battle progresses, and attacks from Sanctuary II make the later fight particularly dangerous. In the final phase a Snap countdown begins. Players have to concentrate damage on Thanos before he completes it. Marvel Rivals Endgame mode: How to join Thanos Descends
During one of the limited sessions, open Play, choose Change Mode, select Thanos Descends, then start matchmaking. Up to 50 players join forces; if a lobby doesn’t fill entirely with human players, the game can add AI-controlled allied heroes. Pick your character, enter the map and follow the group when the fight starts.
If the playlist is unavailable, check the event calendar before restarting the game. The Marvel Rivals Endgame mode is not open around the clock, even though the wider event page stays visible until November 26. The Alchemax 18v18 mode is another playlist and cannot substitute for this Endgame mission.
Marvel Rivals Endgame mode: Dates and UK times
NetEase’s updated patch page lists three opening-day sessions on Saturday, October 24. All dates below are for that day and have been converted using British Summer Time, which ends on Sunday, October 25. The midday session is included in the publisher’s current patch schedule.

The mode returns at limited times over four consecutive weeks. The next three Saturdays are October 31, November 7 and November 14. Check the in-game calendar for each week’s actual queue windows, as the mode is not continuously available. From October 25, the UK uses GMT, which matches UTC. The overall Endgame promotion closes at 09:00 GMT on November 26, 2026.
All four free missions and rewards
The event mission panel has four objectives, each awarding two cosmetics or profile rewards. Complete them in the Endgame PvE event and check the reward panel afterwards. Do not confuse these with the separate Times Square or Infinity Finale objectives, which provide different free rewards.

The Marvel Rivals Endgame mode reward list is eight items from four missions. The costume belongs to Captain America, not the Winter Soldier hero. The defeat-10-enemies objective can be advanced against the invading soldiers, while the Thanos damage requirement names the boss specifically, so spending your entire match shooting Chitauri may leave that bar unchanged.
How to unlock Captain America’s free costume
The Marvel Rivals Endgame mode gives you the costume for completing one match of Thanos Descends for Captain America’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier costume and the Infinity Finale title. That is the live-event requirement; you don’t need to collect the Thanos Plush or heal 10,000 health first. Open the Endgame mission panel after the match and claim the completed reward if it is waiting there. Then look under Captain America’s costumes in your collection.
If the outfit is missing, verify that you played the Endgame PvE queue rather than Infinity War, stayed through match completion, and checked the event claim screen. The free Thor costume is from Infinity Finale and cannot be obtained through the Captain America mission.
Marvel Rivals Endgame mode: Boss tactics and team roles
During the first two phases of the Marvel Rivals Endgame mode, avoid Thanos’s sword swings and move out of red warning areas. Later, be ready for teleports, Infinity Stone effects and missiles launched from above. Flying heroes such as Phoenix, Iron Man or Storm can keep clear of many melee threats, but they must still dodge aerial bombardment. Phoenix is a strong damage choice for the 20,000 boss-damage challenge.
Strategists including Cloak and Dagger can contribute to the heal allies 10,000 health mission by keeping nearby teammates alive. Try to heal players who have actually lost health; simply selecting a healer does not complete the target. Use abilities and Ultimates often enough to keep the team fighting, but save enough attention for the final Snap timer. If too many damage dealers die repeatedly, a player switching to a healer can improve the team’s chances of clearing the fight.
Two more free rewards in Times Square
There are two bonuses that do not require a Thanos match. In Times Square, watch the Avengers: Endgame highlights screening for two uninterrupted minutes to receive the Endgame Gallery Card. Then visit the photo walls outside the Avengers’ Gift Shop and take a group photo with the NPCs for 100 Units. Both activities are listed by NetEase for October 22 through November 26.
