Mario Kart World Slipstream Rewards: 50 Platinum Points

Mario Kart World Slipstream rewards

Mario Kart World Slipstream rewards include 50 My Nintendo Platinum Points for anyone who completes at least eight races in the European September event.

Join the event with code 4245 during its September 26-27 window, complete eight races, and Nintendo says eligible participants receive the 50-point My Nintendo reward.

Mario Kart World Slipstream Rewards: Eight-Race Requirement

For Mario Kart World Slipstream rewards, use Online Play, search for Event ID 4245 and make sure eight event races are fully completed before the window closes.

The requirement is participation, not victory. Your versus rating can move up or down without changing the basic eight-race threshold for the points.

Do you need the top 100 leaderboard?

For Mario Kart World Slipstream rewards, do not confuse the participation reward with the competitive results.

Nintendo separately plans a top-100 global rating table and top-character tables. Those are recognition for high event ratings; the 50 Platinum Points only need the stated race count.

When does the reward window end?

For Mario Kart World Slipstream rewards, finish the eight races before Sunday, September 27 at 21:00 UK time.

The event starts Saturday at 09:00 UK time, so the full competition lasts 36 hours. Once the window closes, ordinary online races will not count toward this September Slipstream reward.

What are Platinum Points?

For Mario Kart World Slipstream rewards, remember these are My Nintendo account points, not Mario Kart World racing coins.

Platinum Points can be used for eligible My Nintendo rewards and offers. They do not unlock karts or bikes inside Mario Kart World; the vehicle system uses the coins collected during play.

Can you switch characters between races?

For Mario Kart World Slipstream rewards, focus on completed races rather than one fixed driver because Nintendo’s participation requirement does not say all eight must use the same character.

The separate character leaderboard is a competitive target. If you are only after the points, use whichever unlocked racer you are comfortable with.

Official reward requirement

For Mario Kart World Slipstream rewards, check Nintendo’s official Slipstream announcement, which states that all players completing a minimum of eight races receive 50 Platinum Points.

Use our Event ID page for the 4245 entry steps and the times page if you need to check whether the event is still open.

What counts as one of the eight races?

Use races inside Event ID 4245, not ordinary worldwide matchmaking. The safest approach is to stay inside the Slipstream event lobby until the eighth result has fully completed.

Winning is not part of the participation requirement. Rating matters for the competitive leaderboard, but the published Platinum Points condition is simply the minimum number of completed event races.

If you only want the participation reward, eight completed Slipstream races is the target. Anything beyond that is for improving your final rating rather than unlocking extra Platinum Points.

When should you stop racing?

If your only goal is the 50 Platinum Points, there is no reason to keep grinding after eight eligible races unless you also care about rating. The reward requirement does not increase at 10, 20 or 50 races.

Competitive players have a different decision. Because rating rises and falls with results, another race can improve or hurt your final position. Once the participation reward is secure, the rest of the weekend becomes a leaderboard choice rather than a reward requirement.

One more thing to know

If the reward does not appear immediately after race eight, do not start repeating ordinary online races. Keep the event participation record intact and wait for Nintendo’s distribution process rather than assuming the game grants Platinum Points directly on the results screen.
