Honkai Star Rail The Edacious Heretic is a four-piece Cavern Relic set released in Version 4.6. It drops from Cavern of Corrosion: Path of the Secret Actor, the same stage that awards Dreamlit Actor. The released two-piece bonus provides 16% CRIT DMG, while four pieces increase Basic ATK damage by 36% and grant 20% ATK for two turns whenever the wearer uses a Basic ATK.

The set is designed for characters who do meaningful damage with their Basic Attacks, especially characters with an Enhanced Basic ATK they use frequently. Hunt March 7th is a clear example, while other carries need to be judged by the amount of damage their Basic Attack contributes compared with Skills, Ultimates or Follow-Up attacks.

Open the Interastral Guide, select Cavern of Corrosion and choose Path of the Secret Actor to farm Honkai Star Rail The Edacious Heretic. HoYoverse lists this Cavern among the Version 4.6 additions, following the opening of the Life Sciences Institute. If the stage is not unlocked on your account, use the in-game navigation to reach the location and check its access requirements.

Each claimed Cavern run normally costs 40 Trailblaze Power, and you can receive pieces from either of the two sets in that stage. You are not guaranteed an Edacious Heretic piece on every drop roll. Farm the highest difficulty you’ve unlocked comfortably, then check the main stat and substats before investing upgrade materials.

The four Cavern slots are Head, Hands, Body and Feet. Planar Spheres and Link Ropes come from separate Planar Ornament content; the Honkai Star Rail The Edacious Heretic Cavern will never provide those pieces. Relic Synthesis is another option for eligible equipment slots, particularly when you need to finish a four-piece set.

Honkai Star Rail The Edacious Heretic two-piece and four-piece effects

Effect Released Version 4.6 value
Two pieces CRIT DMG increases by 16%.
Four pieces Basic ATK damage dealt by the wearer increases by 36%.
Four-piece after Basic ATK The wearer gains 20% ATK for 2 turns.

The values above are from the released Version 4.6 data for Honkai Star Rail The Edacious Heretic. Equip two pieces for 16% CRIT DMG. With four pieces, the 36% damage bonus applies to Basic Attacks, while each Basic Attack grants a 20% ATK buff lasting two turns. Enhanced Basic Attacks also count as Basic Attacks.

There are two different bonuses here. The 36% applies to Basic ATK damage and does not turn into a universal 36% buff to Skills, Follow-Up attacks or Ultimates. The 20% ATK boost is obtained when a Basic ATK is used and persists for two turns, potentially helping later actions that scale with ATK.

Best characters for Honkai Star Rail The Edacious Heretic

March 7th (The Hunt) is a particularly strong candidate for Honkai Star Rail The Edacious Heretic. Her rotation revolves around repeated Enhanced Basic Attacks, so the four-piece damage increase applies to an important part of her output. The additional CRIT DMG and ATK also support a conventional CRIT-focused build. Icy Veins’ current Hunt March 7th build guide lists this set among her strongest options.

Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae is another Basic ATK-oriented character who may benefit from the two-piece CRIT DMG and four-piece Basic ATK damage. However, compare against an already well-rolled set rather than swapping purely for the advertised percentages. Team buffs, Skill Point economy, gear quality and how often you use an Enhanced Basic ATK all matter.

For characters whose damage mostly comes from Ultimates or Follow-Up attacks, this set is a weaker investment, because its biggest bonus only improves Basic Attacks. If the Basic ATK occupies only a small share of their rotation, the set’s signature 36% bonus is less useful than a four-piece built for their dominant damage source.

Recommended main stats and substats

Effect Released Version 4.6 value
Body CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG, balanced against the rest of the build
Feet SPD or ATK%, according to team speed tuning
Substats CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG and ATK%, with useful SPD
Planar ornaments Choose separately for the character’s damage kit

Because Honkai Star Rail The Edacious Heretic already supplies 16% CRIT DMG from two pieces, a CRIT Rate body may be the better choice when a character lacks consistency. For Hunt March 7th, balance CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG, then check whether your team lets her use Enhanced Basic Attacks consistently. No single CRIT ratio makes up for the wrong main stat on boots or an unworkable action order.

Is it better than older Basic ATK sets?

Musketeer of Wild Wheat is an accessible alternative, granting ATK on two pieces, then SPD and some Basic ATK damage on four. Edacious Heretic is more specialised: it raises Basic ATK damage substantially and provides a temporary ATK boost, but gives no Speed itself. If your older Musketeer pieces have significantly stronger substats, they can remain competitive while you farm.

To judge Honkai Star Rail The Edacious Heretic, test it on the character who will wear it rather than treating the four-piece number as a universal damage increase. Check how much of their damage is coming from Enhanced Basic Attacks, whether they can use one often enough to maintain the ATK effect, and what Speed they lose by replacing their existing gear. That is far more useful than comparing the two-piece bonuses alone.

Can you farm Edacious Heretic during Planar Fissure?

No. Honkai Star Rail The Edacious Heretic is a Cavern Relic, and Planar Fissure grants bonus Planar Ornament rewards, not a drop-rate increase for Caverns. Return to Path of the Secret Actor for this equipment. The Cavern also rewards the Dreamlit Actor set, which suits Pearl’s Elation support build rather than a Basic ATK carry.

Our Life Sciences Institute exploration guide covers the surrounding area, Pearl’s build explains the alternative support Relic priorities, and Version 4.6 banners has the current character Warp schedule.
