Genshin Impact 7.1 Release Date is September 23, 2026, when A Rekviem for the Underworld goes live after the usual version maintenance. The maintenance window is scheduled from 06:00 UTC+8 and normally lasts about five hours, putting server reopening around 11:00 UTC+8 if everything stays on schedule.
Version 7.1 release date
September 23 is the Version 7.1 launch date. The update continues the Snezhnaya storyline and introduces Vesna and Vodyanitsa as the two new five-star characters.
Genshin Impact 7.1 Release Date also places the update only five days before the game’s sixth anniversary on September 28.
Maintenance start time
Maintenance begins at 06:00 UTC+8 on September 23. That is 22:00 UTC on September 22.
For UK players, it works out at roughly 11 PM BST on September 22. US players are looking at approximately 6 PM EDT or 3 PM PDT on September 22.
Expected server reopening
A normal five-hour window means servers should return around 11:00 UTC+8 on September 23, or 03:00 UTC.
That is about 4 AM BST in the UK, 11 PM EDT on September 22 and 8 PM PDT on September 22. Genshin Impact 7.1 Release Date can therefore appear as September 22 in parts of the Americas even though HoYoverse labels the version September 23.
Maintenance compensation
HoYoverse normally distributes Primogems for scheduled maintenance after the servers reopen. The standard baseline is 60 Primogems for each expected maintenance hour.
Do not count extra delay compensation before a delay actually happens. If maintenance finishes on schedule, the normal package is all you should plan around.
Can you preload Version 7.1?
Genshin usually opens pre-installation shortly before a major version update. Preloading reduces the amount you need to download once maintenance begins.
It does not let you enter Version 7.1 early; the servers remain unavailable until maintenance ends.
What ends before maintenance?
Version 7.0 Phase 2 wishes and time-limited content close before the new update takes over. Finish any expiring event claims and decide on current banners before they disappear.
Do not leave unclaimed event currency sitting in an interface you cannot access after the version changes.
What opens with Version 7.1?
Vesna’s first-half banner, new Archon Quest content, anniversary-linked systems and the Version 7.1 event schedule begin rolling out from the update.
Not every anniversary gift necessarily appears the instant maintenance ends because September 28 has its own reward timing.
Genshin Impact 7.1 Release Date times in the UK and US
For UK players, the important maintenance window is roughly 11 PM BST on September 22 until 4 AM BST on September 23. Most people will simply wake up to the new version rather than sit through the downtime.
In the United States, maintenance begins on the evening of September 22 and is expected to finish the same evening: around 8 PM PDT on the West Coast and 11 PM EDT on the East Coast. Genshin Impact 7.1 Release Date is still officially September 23 because HoYoverse uses the Asia-based version schedule.
If Genshin Impact 7.1 Release Date maintenance runs late
A delayed reopening can change the practical play time even though Genshin Impact 7.1 Release Date itself does not move. HoYoverse normally communicates extended maintenance through official channels and compensates players when downtime exceeds the scheduled window.
Do not repeatedly reinstall the client if the servers are still officially under maintenance. Once HoYoverse says the service is live, then it makes sense to troubleshoot a client that still cannot connect.
Original Resin before Genshin Impact 7.1 Release Date maintenance
If maintenance overlaps your usual play session, spend enough Resin beforehand to avoid capping while the servers are unavailable. That is a small optimisation, but it matters more for players prefarming Vesna or Vodyanitsa materials on a tight schedule.
Update checklist
Redeem the three livestream codes before they expire, finish Version 7.0 claims, clear enough storage for the patch and preload if the option appears.
Genshin Impact 7.1 Release Date is September 23, but the practical time you can play depends on your region. Once maintenance ends, update the client fully before troubleshooting any connection problem.
