WWE 2K22 is finally here and has seen 2K completely overhaul the game engine and put much more time into the development of the game by canceling 2K21 and delaying the release of 2K22 by six months.

The roster features over 120 WWE Superstars and Legends and will also be adding 28 more to the game with multiple DLC Packs that will release over the coming months.

But, the release dates of the WWE 2K22 DLC Packs could hint at the release date of WWE 2K23 and it could be much sooner than most players will be expecting.

In a recent post on the 2K website, the developers announced the release dates for all of the WWE 2K22 DLC Packs, which will see the likes of Rob Van Dam, Cactus Jack, Yokozuna, and even celebrities such as Logan Paul, MGK, and Mr. T come to the game.

The first DLC Pack will be released in April 2022, with the final one releasing in July 2022, with a pack releasing every month in between.

With previous games that release in November, the DLC is released up until a similar time in the year before the next title is released the following winter.

With all of the WWE 2K22 DLC Packs releasing by the end of July 2022, it could indicate that 2K won’t be moving the release date of future titles and will instead be reverting back to the old release window of November.

This could mean that the next WWE 2K game, WWE 2K23, could be released as soon as eight months away in November 2022.

There are rumors that WWE could be looking to move away from 2K following the disastrous WWE 2K20, with EA being one studio that the company is having talks with, but it is likely that it won’t be until after the release of WWE 2K23 if it does end up happening.
