Ahead of the Winter’s Expansion release, which will include a third-person mode for Resident Evil Village, making it more accessible to gamers.

To help promote this, Capcom is releasing a demo to showcase the third-person mode. Like previous demos, this will have a 60-minute timer attached to it, meaning that the game will lock once the timer reaches 0. However, previous demos had their timer disabled by PC modders, so if you own the game on Steam, then expect this to happen with this demo too.

The Resident Evil Village Gold Edition demo is available now, with it going live at 4 pm PDT on October 20th/12 am BST on October 21st.

RE:Verse still exists

For the whole one person in the world that still cares about RE:Verse, it still exists and is set to launch very soon.

RE:Verse is a multiplayer deathmatch style of game that sees players battling with each other, with them turning into B.O.Ws upon death.

It is an interesting concept, but as with most recent multiplayer Resident Evil games, we would be very surprised if it proves to be a success.

New Resident Evil 4 Remake trailer revealed

A brand new trailer was shown for the upcoming Resident Evil 4 Remake, which gave us a better look at many of the enemies and main characters in the game, including Leon, Ashley, Ada, Luis, the Merchant, Salazar, and the scary chainsaw enemy.

Check out the trailer below.

Resident Evil 4 Remake gameplay footage showcased

The Resident Evil Showcase event gave us a first look at gameplay for Resident Evil 4 Remake.

One great thing to note is most of the gameplay we saw is very similar to the original game, with some locations being laid out identically to the original and enemies appearing in the same place; I guess it’s sometimes hard to improve upon perfection.

Familiar mechanics such as the inventory remain largely the same. There have been some quality-of-life changes and new mechanic changes to add a new feel to the gameplay, such as knives having health in the same way they do in Resident Evil 2 and 3 Remake.

Story-wise, many things look to be the same, but we only saw a small glimpse of gameplay from a multi-hour game, so many things will likely have been altered as we get further into the game.

Check out the gameplay trailer below.

If you want to see even more gameplay, this video has more scenes compared to the trailer above, and it is in 4K.
