Power Rangers X Street Fighter crossover announced

I bet that’s a title you always wanted but never thought you’d see. It has been revealed that Power Rangers will be teaming up with Street Fighter in this new epic crossover.

It has been announced that Street Fighter’s Ryu and Chun-Li will be playable in Power Rangers: Battle For The Grid, a 3v3 fighting game similar to Marvel vs Capcom, Dragon Ball FighterZ etc.

But, Ryu and Chun-Li aren’t just coming to the game, they are coming to the game as Power Rangers.

In a new trailer, we see Ryu and Chun-Li as Power Rangers, each in their own unique costume. Both characters look great, but Chun-Li is definitely the stand out character.

This isn’t the first time this year that we’ve seen Ryu and Chun-Li appear in other franchises.

Recently, during Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5, we saw both Street Fighter characters come to the popular Battle Royale game.

Power Rangers: Battle For The Grid recently concluded its third season of characters, introducing Robert “RJ” James – Purple Jungle Fury Ranger, Lauren Shiba – Super Samurai Red Ranger, Scorpina, as well as the exclusive Dai Shi Phantom Beast Skin to the game.

They join the likes of Lord Zedd, the White Ranger, and the Gold Zeo Ranger who have all been added to the game as DLC. Late 2020 also saw the classic Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers villain Scorpina come to the game.

The game got off to a rocky start with the game feeling more like an in-progress game rather than a finished product.

Today the game is solid, but unfortunately doesn’t have the player base it perhaps deserve.

The Street Fighter character pack will be released on all platforms on May 25th 2021.

Power Rangers: Battle For The Grid is available on all current platforms, PS4, Xbox One, PC via Steam and Windows Store, Nintendo Switch, and Google Stadia. The game is also playable on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S via backwards compatibility, as well as being available on Game Pass for both console and PC, as well as PS Now.
