New Pokemon Snap: New Photo Printer revealed, print out your favourite pictures taken in-game

Have you been reluctant to get too excited for New Pokemon Snap due to the lack of Gameboy Printer support?

Fret no longer as Fujifilm has announced a new INSTAX (instant photosystem) to be used with the Nintendo Switch via a smartphone app, thrusting your dreams of sharing tiny Poke-Polaroids with your pals into the 21st century!

Here’s what we know about the Instax photo printer for New Pokemon Snap.

This peripheral will be compatible with a few different switch games including Animal Crossing: New Horizon and New Pokemon Snap and will be releasing alongside New Pokemon Snap with a special Pikachu-themed silicon cover.

The app will allow for a degree of photo editing as it has the ability to frame photos, edit selfies or screenshots, and sketch on photos downloaded from the Nintendo Switch using the smartphone app.

According to the trailer released by Fujifilm Instax Australia’s youtube channel and the associated website, the app will also have a variety of social features as well.

Using the Instax app, users will be able to make collages, randomized quizzes, split printing, or “party print,” which allows up to 5 people to collaborate on one collage.

What a cool way to get people engaged with a creative process. Hopefully, something like this can inspire people who may not have initially been that interested or had the privilege of working with photography.

Or it could just be fun to connect to people at social gatherings, making cool or funny photographs for people to take with them and do as they please, commemorating the time you all got to spend together.

Whoever said a picture was worth a thousand words forgot to mention a price, but the Fujifilm Instax new photo printer for New Pokemon snap will release for $169.00 (199.00 including the Pikachu case) and will be available for purchase sometime in mid-May.
