The release of Hogwarts Legacy has divided gamers and Harry Potter fans alike due to the controversial views of the franchise’s author JK Rowling, who has been heavily criticized for her anti-trans stance.

Despite JK Rowling’s views, the developers have pressed ahead to create the game they envisioned, which contains a lot of customization, including the ability to create transgender characters.

While Hogwarts Legacy is controversial, it is set to sell many copies, topping the charts across multiple platforms ahead of its release this week.

With the game now available in early access for Deluxe Edition owners, many fans of the series have already created their own wizard and have been exploring the vast world in Hogwarts Legacy.

It didn’t take long for players to quickly notice that one of the NPCs in Hogwarts Legacy is a transgender character. The character appears to be a female model but has a male voice actor.

One tweeter noticed that the character resembles Harry Potter author JK Rowling and wondered if it was intentional.

“Is no-one commenting on the fact that the bartender vaguely resembles Rowling herself as well?”

I have to admit, I do see it. I wonder if it was intentional by the developers to hit back at JK Rowling and her controversial views, which has made the release of Hogwarts Legacy a very troublesome one.
