GTA 6 Trailer Gains 65 Million Views Before Its Original Release Date
To say GTA 6 is going to be the biggest video game launch of all time is an understatement. With GTA 5 selling over 190 million copies, there are a lot of gamers ready to dive into the next story created by Rockstar Games.
Originally, the GTA 6 trailer was scheduled to be released at 9 am ET on December 5, 2023, however, the trailer ended up being leaked early on social media.
Rather than spending all of its time taking down reuploads, Rockstar Games decided to just release the GTA 6 trailer early on the evening of December 4. After a decade since the release of GTA 5 and many years of anticipation and rumors, we finally got a glimpse at GTA 6 for the first time and it didn’t disappoint.
The GTA 6 trailer confirmed that the game will take place in Vice City and will feature both male and female protagonists. It was also confirmed that GTA 6 will be released in 2025, it was later confirmed the game will launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X first with a PC port following later.
Despite the trailer originally being scheduled to be released a few minutes before this article was published and its release coming as a complete surprise, millions of gamers have already checked out the trailer. Over 65 million to be exact.
This makes the GTA 6 Trailer 1 the second most viewed video on the Rockstar Games YouTube channel, only before the GTA 5 reveal trailer which currently sits at 95 million views. It is worth noting that the GTA 5 is 10 years old at this point and the GTA 6 trailer is only hours old. It wouldn’t be surprising if the GTA 6 trailer surpasses the GTA 5 trailer by the end of the week.
