GTA 6 will feature a Latina female character and Vice City location confirmed

Until details are officially announced by Rockstar Games, fans of the Grand Theft Auto series are on the hunt for any GTA 6 details that have been leaked to find out what to expect from the first entry in the series for over a decade.
While there have been many leaks and rumors over the years, it is hard to know which ones are correct and which are purely speculation.
But, with Rockstar Games officially announcing GTA 6 recently, it seems that some of the new details that are emerging will be more likely to be correct.
GTA 6 to feature a Latina female character
According to a report by Bloomberg, GTA 6 will feature a female protagonist for the first time in the series history. It has also been revealed that the woman is Latina and will be part of a pair that is influenced by Bonnie and Clyde.
Developers have also noted that are being cautious not to “punch down” by making jokes about marginalized groups. This is different from what we’ve seen in previous games, but the world is a different place and making these sorts of jokes likely wouldn’t fly with the public today, and it’s not necessarily a bad thing.
Vice City confirmed
It has long been speculated that Vice City will be the location of GTA 6, and plenty of things have pointed to it too.
This new report confirms it too as it is said that the GTA map will be a fictional version of Miami.
Fans of the series will know that Vice City is based on Miami so it makes sense that this will be the location.
The classic GTA trilogy from the sixth generation saw games released in Liberty City, Vice City, and San Andreas. When the series moved into the HD era on the seventh, eighth, and now the ninth generation of consoles, we saw GTA IV set in Liberty City, and GTA V set in San Andreas, so it only makes sense that the series will circle back to Vice City.
It has also been said that Rockstar Games wanted to include a large portion of North and South America but things has to be scaled back.
This also lines up with previous rumors and reports that the game will feature a fictional version of a city in South America, commonly reported as Rio de Janeiro. This could also gain new weight now that it has been reported that the protagonist will be Latina.
When will GTA 6 be released?
Until Rockstar Games officially announces the release date for GTA 6 we’re unsure of when it will be released.
But, the latest Bloomberg report is reporting that it could release any time between April 2023 and March 2024, although we expect the game to be released towards the end of 2024. Again, nothing has been confirmed so take all of these dates with a grain of salt.
Recently, Rockstar Games placed a lot of Vice City posters in GTA V with the date August 7th on them.
Many fans have speculated that this could be the date that GTA 6 is officially revealed with a new trailer, location reveal, and of course the game’s release date.
