Where to find dazzling Minecraft Diamonds in v1.20?

As you progress through your Minecraft world, you might find yourself taking more damage to mobs as you explore the more dangerous parts of your Minecraft world. It may be time to upgrade those tools and get yourself a brand-new set of shiny armor using Minecraft Diamonds.

However, Minecraft Diamonds can be tricky to find if you don’t know where you’re looking.

Minecraft Diamonds v1.20 – where can we find them?

Diamonds used to be easy to find, but since the v1.20 update it’s become more difficult to figure out where diamonds can spawn.

Anywhere between Y level 16 and Y level -68, Diamonds can spawn. This is a huge range though, but its been found that the best level to find diamonds is Y level -58

Farming for Diamonds

There are loads of ways you can farm for diamonds in v1.20. However, some ways are easier than others

Firstly, to mine Diamonds you’ll need an iron pickaxe, if you try to use stone, wood, or gold, you’ll find that the diamonds you’ve found have broken away and you’ve lost them.

One of the simplest ways of farming for Diamonds is to find a big cave at Y level -58 and search around until you find Diamonds. Although this is the simplest, it’s definitely not the easiest or safest as you run the risk of dying to mobs, getting lost and even falling into lava.

If exploring the caves isn’t for you, you can strip mine. This involves, heading to a low level where you can find Diamonds, mining as far as your reach will let you go, walking towards the end of that small pathway, and repeating the process in all directions. This may be one of the safest ways to mine for Diamonds, as long as you bring a lot of food, torches, and an easy way to find the way out of your mines.

Another way of finding Diamonds is to use structures such as; shipwrecks, sand temples, buried treasure, nether fortresses’, etc. However, this method is very time-consuming and not efficient. On the other hand, this is a great way to explore your world and a fun way to pass the time.

What are Diamonds for?

Diamonds are one of the most useful items to have, as you explore you’ll find yourself needing better tools for your builds, self-defense, battles, and even farming.

You can also find yourself needing better protection from the mobs around you as you explore deeper into your caves.

Diamonds can be used to create tools such as axe, pickaxes, and shovels, and any tools you’d have been able to make with stone or iron. Making yourself a set of Diamond armor will also be very useful on your Minecraft adventures as you never know what mods are waiting behind every corner

To make anything into the best type of tools/armor they can become, you’ll need Netherite. However, you’ll need Diamond tools to not only break these but to turn your tools into Netherite.
