Deep Dark Biome

The first of the new Minecraft Wild Biomes, is the Deep Dark. Hidden in the depths of the overworld, brings with it a whole host of ancient structures, loot chests, and one solitary mob. Sculk blocks fill the area, that yield XP when mined, and can be duplicated when killing mobs close by. If a Sculk Catalyst and Sculk Shrieker is set off three times it will summon a warden, the strongest mob in the game. The only way to escape his wrath, is to crouch quietly.

Also located within the Deep Dark biome are a host of ancient cities. These ancient cities contain chests holding shards. These items can then be used to create a new disc, and compass, that will guide you to your most recent death, along with the possibility of holding a pair of leggings. These leggings contain the new enchantment “Swift Sneak”, enabling you to move faster whilst crouching, giving you an advantage against the warden. Be quiet, or the warden will attack.

Mangrove Swamp

The second new Minecraft Wild biome is Mangrove Swamp. Located on the land, this biome can be easily spotted by the enchanting Mangrove trees. With their fascinating new leaves, saplings and roots, and Mangrove trees being made of an entirely new type of wood, this swamp area certainly has a lot to offer.

The wood available in Mangrove Swamp is easy to distinguish, and it be used to craft anything that uses wood. Mangrove Swamp also includes the addition of mud, that can be crafted into packed mud, mud bricks and its variations.

Mangrove Swamp is also home to some of the smallest animals in game, frogs and tadpoles. Frogs will eat magma cubes to make frog lights, and can also be bred with slimeballs to create tadpoles (which can then be collected in a bucket for easy transportation).

This majestic biome is a good location to live out your fairy tale fantasies.
