Splitgate: Referral code what does it do, plus rewards

Splitgate has a player rewards system for referrals that benefits both players, with each gaining Splitcoin for using a referral code. The referring player also gets a reward based on the number of people they have referred to Splitgate.

Player referral code for Splitgate

If you’re new to Splitgate, or at least below level 10, you can use the referral code YL1ZVW to gain 50 Splitcoin upon reaching level 10. This is my personal referral code, so both of us gain 50 Splitcoin from using this.

Do make sure you use a referral code before you hit level 10 when the option is permanently lost.

If you have any friends also playing Splitgate, you might want to use theirs instead as it’ll help them rather than an article author you’ll likely never see again, but any use of my code is appreciated because it also gets me some of the extra rewards from the referral scheme.

Splitgate referrals – what does it do?

Splitgate referral codes can only be used before level 10. If you do use a referral code before level 10, you and your referring player will earn 50 Splitcoin each the moment you do reach level 10 in Splitgate.

50 Splitcoin isn’t a huge amount, but it is free – it’s particularly nice that these benefit players using a referral code as well, as many games have previously made the mistake of having only the referrer benefit, which often means realistically that only streamers or people with large communities will usually see the rewards.

The other referral rewards in Splitgate

Splitgate also has an additional reward for the referring player for each referral code used.

This system counts up to 10 total and has a reward on each level. Among the rewards are unique skins, including the Legendary Paladin Skin Raven, shown here, and the Return Portal skin, shown back at the start of the article.

Neither of these has anything in the way of gameplay bonuses, but they do look pretty nice and are exclusive to the referral system, so it’s quite rare to see them in-game.

Naturally, as Splitgate’s playerbase has dropped off a bit since its 36000 peak, any extra players you can add to the playerbase will probably be appreciated by the dev’s as well, so referring has that bonus on top, though with the crossplay support that Splitgate has, match times still aren’t a problem even with the steam playerbase significantly reduced in size from its peak.
