Pokemon Go has just launched the Yveltal release, as part of the ongoing Luminious Legends event. Here’s everything you need to know.

Yveltal is Dark Flying dual-type legendary Pokemon, so be prepared for a tough battle if you intend to meet Yveltal in Pokemon Go raids.

When is the Pokemon Go Yveltal release

Yveltal has released in 5 star raids on Pokemon Go as part of the second half Luminious Legends event.

As the Luminous Legends event is already running, you can find Yveltal – you’ll want to prepare for a tough battle as it’s another 5 star raid to deal with, but you can find Yveltal available in game right now.

What type will be effective for fighting Yveltal

Super-effective types of prioritise using:
  • Electric
  • Fairy
  • Ice
  • Rock

A pretty good list of weaknesses for players to exploit by Pokemon Go Raid standards, though it should be noted there are no double weaknesses to focus on.

Resisted types to avoid using:
  • Dark
  • Ghost
  • Grass
  • Ground
  • Psychic

You’ll want to avoid using ground and psychic-type moves in particular, as Yveltal will barely take around 40% of the damage from those – even other resisted moves are preferable to those.
