Last Updated on: 18th May 2021, 09:06 pm
Luminous Legends Y is underway in Pokemon Go already as of today! It’s a great event if you’re a fan of dark-type Pokemon.
And even if not, if you missed some of the X event Pokemon such as Goomy, you’re in luck! They’re making a comeback for the Y event too!

When does it start & What can we expect?
The event is actually already underway, as it started on May 18th at 10:00 AM local time. It’ll continue until May 24th – though that isn’t quite the end, its just when part 1 finishes.
The time is, as mentioned, local time. So don’t worry about time zones, just check the time for your area.

Challenge rewards for Luminous Legends Y in Pokemon Go
A challenge has been issued to players during this event; beat 25 million team Go Rocket grunts during the event, and the entire shiny Galarian Zigzagoon will be made available on the 25th of May.
Additionally, a 3x catch XP bonus will be active for the rest of the event, and Galarian Zigzagoon will be appearing in raids for the entire event.
Anything else?
Not much else. If you have any charged TMs, this would be an excellent time to use them though.
As they’ll let you remove the charged attack Frustration from any Shadow Pokemon you have – which is a major bonus to take advantage of, as that removes the biggest downside of shadow Pokemon.
