Next-Gen Metro Exodus: Everything we know about Artyom’s final adventure

It was only a matter of time, really. Deep Silver’s Metro Exodus is finally coming to next-gen consoles and we have everything you need to know about what this means and the new “Complete Edition” that’s on the way.

Metro Exodus is coming to next-gen platforms on June 18th and we can’t wait to playthrough Artyom’s final adventure in 4K. This upgraded version of the title is going to make use of the raw power both the PS5 and the Xbox Series X has to really raise the stakes.

It’s going to all be in 4K, run with stable 60FPS performance, and Ray-Tracing features throughout. This, most-importantly, includes the pioneered RT emissive lighting from Metro Exodus’ The Two Colonels expansion. There’s also going to be FOV options and controller latency imrpovements.

If you’re planning on playing it on PS5, you won’t be disappointed. It’s also going to utilise the unique DualSense features; Primarily the Haptic Feedback. (There’s no word on the Adaptive Triggers just yet.) Oh, it’s ” also be a free upgrade for current owners” which is expected, but nice.

What’s The Complete Edition?

To put it simply. this is a complete version of Metro Exodus. We know that’s a little bit of an obvious sentiment, but that’s what it is!

It’s the base game, Metro Exodus, on both next-gen consoles, PS5 or Xbox Series X|S, and it comes with both the main expansions that have been released for Metro Exodus, Sam’s Story and The Two Colonels.

As you can see in the image above, this version is coming out at the same time as the next-gen upgrade for pre-existing owners. Seems fair, right?
