Mario Party Superstars characters: Who’s joining the party?

Mario Party Superstars is almost here and we have everything you need to know about all the playable characters available in-game at launch. There are a few faces that are obviously going to show up – like Mario – but a couple that you might not have expected. There are also a few characters from previous Mario Party games missing. Mainly, Monty Mole and Goomba are both out! We know, the scandal. Nintendo should really answer for itself…

Anyway, here’s everything you need to know about all the playable characters in Mario Party Superstars at launch.

All available Mario Party Superstars characters

At launch, there are ten playable characters available in Mario Party Superstars. They are…

  • Mario
    • ” A beloved and intrepid hero who can be easily recognized by his red cap and mustache.“
  • Luigi
    • ” Mario’s taller brother who is known for his high jumps and being afraid of ghosts.“
  • Peach
    • ” The princess of the Mushroom Kingdom. Has a kind heart and a love of all things pink.“
  • Daisy
    • ” An energetic princess who is particularly fond of her flower earrings.“
  • Wario
    • ” A greedy character with an eye for gold. Spends too much time with Waluigi.“
  • Waluigi
    • ” A devious individual who always has a trick up his sleeve. Often seen with Wario.“
  • Yoshi
    • ” A carefree but steadfast ally of Mario’s who loves to eat fruit.“
  • Rosalina
    • ” An otherworldly figure who travels through space with her family, the Lumas.“
  • Donkey Kong
    • ” King of the jungle. Incredibly strong but bugs out for bananas.“
  • Birdo
    • ” A jovial characer who exudes a mysterious charm.“

We can’t believe it either – Birdo made the cut but my man Toad is STILL a damned host? What will it take to be able to play Mario Party as the main man himself?

Characters like Kamek, Toadette, Koopa Trooper, Shy Guy, Goomba, Galoomba, Bullet Bill and Penguin all appear – just not as playable characters. Mario Party Superstars is now available on the Nintendo Switch. Can you believe this is the 25th Mario Party game?
