FNF HD Week 5: When is it?

Friday Night Funkin HD is probably one of the most popular mods in the Funkin Fandom and for good reason. The charming visual upgrades and story additions for each Week keep fans coming back for more and more! A number of leaks have been surfacing on YouTube about the mod, but here is definitively all we know about FNF HD Week 5.

Many of the “leaks” surfacing around are not really leaks at all. The artist behind the mod, KOLCHAN, has posted somewhat inconsistent work in progresses on the art throughout development. Any leak video that shows Daddy Dearest/Mommy Mearest or The Girlfriend in their Christmas attire is merely people using the posted visuals on Twitter and either making their own mods or editing videos to look like early footage of the mod.

Unfortunately, that means FNF HD Week 5 isn’t quite as close as we may all hope. Regardless, the amount of work that’s gone into the mod is crazy, and the end result is always fantastic. Though we do have an inkling of an idea when the update may surface…

A project called Funkin’ Forward, acting similar to Nintendo Directs, will be one which focuses on upcoming mods for Friday Night Funkin. KOLCHAN has been Tweeting progress on a Week 5 trailer to appear in the presentation, so it seems whenever the first episode comes out, the next HD Week will be upon us.

With Funkin Forward releasing on July 9th, a mere two days from now, it seems safe to say FNF HD Week 5 will be out either on the same day or within a month or so of the presentation. Obviously there’s a chance we need to wait longer, but it seems most characters are at least ready, so most of the art may be done by now.
