Overshields are for sissies is an achievement for completing the Pillar of Autumn on Legendary without touching an overshield during the entire mission.

How to get the Overshields are for sissies Achievement in Halo MCC CE

The Overshields are for sissies achievement is earned, as you might expect, by avoiding overshields for the entire level of Pillar of Autumn in Halo CE in the master chief collection.

This isn’t the most difficult challenge, but of course, it also has to be done on legendary, which can complicate things for a bit.

The overshields are found in the troop transports that drop Covenant forces off via the escape pod bays.

If you’re doing this achievement you might also want to do Walk it off at the same time, which I’ve written a specific guide for here.

You can clear these bays pretty fast using grenades in the door as they open, and even head inside to loot guns and grenades from the guys caught in the explosion.

Just make sure to not walk all the way to the back or you might accidentally pick one up and ruin the achievement attempt.

When you’re done with the troop transports there aren’t any more of these in the level, so you can just focus on clearing the level normally from that point onwards.
