Genshin Impact: Shenhe’s Ascension Materials and their locations

After over a year, the 5-star character Shenhe is finally returning to Genshin Impact, specifically during the second phase of Version 3.5. This is the first time that the distinguished Cryo support unit will have her banner rerun since she was released in Version 2.4.
If you’re one of those who have long waited for Shenhe, it is high time that you prepare for her ascension materials! We have listed everything you need for her in this article.

Shenhe’s Ascension Materials and where to find them

SHIVADA JADE GEMS
This group of gems is used for ascending Cryo characters. You can obtain them primarily by fighting Normal Bosses and Weekly Bosses.

The Normal Boss Coral Defenders drop DRAGONHEIR’S FALSE FIN and SHIVADA JADE GEMS. You can hit two birds with one stone (get gems and Dragonheir’s False Fin) by fighting this boss.
This Normal boss is located in Dainichi Mikoshi, Enkanomiya. If you haven’t unlocked Enkanomiya yet, you must complete the World Quest “The Still Water’s Flow” first. Check out the map below for the location of this Normal Boss in Enkanomiya:
If you’re new to the game, you can craft higher rarity gems or convert one gem into another via Alchemy. You can do this by interacting with the crafting benches in the different cities in Teyvat.
QINGXIN
This material is a Local Specialty in Liyue and can, therefore, only be found in said region. For more specific locations (including shops that sell Qingxin), be sure to check out our Qingxin Location Guide here.
WHOPPERFLOWER, SHIMMERING, and ENERGY NECTARS
These items are dropped by Whopperflowers all over Teyvat. Suppose you’re running low on these materials and are unsure where to find some Whopperflowers. In that case, you can check the enemy’s location by visiting the Paimon Menu > Adventurer Handbook > Enemies > Whopperflower > Navigate.
You can also craft higher rarity Whopperflower drops via Alchemy or get some from the Stardust Exchange.

Shenhe’s Talent Level-Up Materials
Shenhe‘s talent “books” or Talent Ascension Materials are the Prosperity Books. This set can be obtained by challenging the Taishan Mansion domain on Monday, Thursday, and Sunday. This is located near Jueyun Karst in Liyue.
You can also craft higher rarity Prsoperity books via Alchemy.
Beyond Level 6 of Shenhe’s Talents, she will need the Talent Level-up Material called Hellfire Butterfly, which can be obtained from “Narukami Island: Tenshukaku,” a domain where you can fight the Fatui Harbinger Signora.
