A new desert area has been added with the arrival of Genshin Impact Version 3.4. While the Desert of Hadramaveth is not the best place to be in if you’re searching for aesthetically appealing landscapes, its mysterious sands have secrets and treasures just waiting to be discovered.

One thing that you should discover in this desert is the City of the Deceased Domain. Like any other one-time domain, it is filled with rewards, and we’re sure you will find them useful.

However, how do you unlock this domain? In a vast desert such as the Desert of Hadramaveth, it is easy to get lost. Don’t worry, though! This article will help you locate the City of the Deceased Domain, how to unlock it, and its rewards.

Where to find the City of the Deceased Domain in Genshin Impact

To locate the City of the Deceased Domain in Genshin Impact, you will need to go underneath The Sands of Al-Azif in the Desert of Hadramaveth. You can reach the domain by going through the Wenut Tunnels, where the Setekh Wenut Normal Boss is located. Check out the map below for your reference.

While in the Setekh Wenut Normal Boss area, you will find three (3) tunnels. Go through the southeastern one as indicated in the image below. Then, follow the tunnel from there. Along the way, you might find holes leading to a lower level. Do NOT go down.

You will eventually find an intersection. Go to the tunnel to your right, and follow the path until you find the location of the City of the Deceased Domain as indicated on your map.

How to unlock the City of the Deceased Domain in Genshin Impact

Now that you are in the location of the City of the Deceased Domain in Genshin Impact, you will need to unlock it. Unlocking it is easy, as you only need to light four (4) torches in the area using Pyro attacks and activate a mechanism.

There are two torches just outside the domain. You will also find the mechanism here. Note that the image shows an already unlocked domain.

From the same position as the previous image, you will find two more torches to the side.

Again, light a total of four (4) torches to unlock the mechanism. Then, use the mechanism to open the City of the Deceased Domain. Now, you can take on the domain challenge and grab your rewards!
