Genshin Impact: Tales of the Youkai Web Event Guide

The Youkai in Genshin Impact are fascinating supernatural creatures. There are different types of them, such as the Kitsune, Tengu, and Oni. If you’re not already aware, some of your favorite Inazuman characters are actually Youkai. Yae Miko is a Kitsune, Kujou Sara is a Tengu, and Arataki Itto is an Oni.
These creatures are based on supernatural entities and spirits in Japanese folklore. Since Genshin Impact 3.3’s current in-game event (where you can get the Toukabou Shigure sword) has something to do with them, it’s only fitting to talk about how fascinating they can be.
Well, the Traveler and Paimon already know quite a lot about the Youkai, so it would be great if they could share about them and introduce them to a wider audience. And since Inazuma loves light novels, why not write about the Youkai through stories? With this comes the Tales of the Youkai Web Event.
How to play the Tales of Youkai Web Event
Tales of the Youkai runs from 21 December 2022 to 30 December 2022. You can only participate in the web event if your Adventure Rank is at least 30.
Once you meet the minimum Adventure Rank, you can access the web event through the in-game mail or through the special event button in the in-game Paimon Menu. To access it quickly from here, simply click on the link below:

Now, here’s everything you need to do in this web event.
STEP 1: On the web event page, log in using your HoYoverse account if you haven’t already.
STEP 2: Get inspiration by completing daily tasks.
STEP 3: Start writing light novels about the Youkai.
STEP 4: Select a theme, title, and premise/plot for your Light Novel.
STEP 5: Collect the readers’ replies.
STEP 6: Claim your writing paycheck (rewards).

Tales of the Youkai Web Event Rewards
This Genshin Impact web event will have you write a total of five (5) themes which you can unlock daily. Below are the rewards you can get for each daily theme. We will also update this article until all themes are unlocked, so stay tuned!
