Genshin Impact “Toukabou Shigure” Weapon Guide: Where to get, stats, effects, and recommended characters
Toukabou Shigure is a 4-star sword in Genshin Impact. While this is considered a weapon, this is also a pretty odd-looking parasol.
“A rather special oil-paper umbrella. While long wanderings may make one used to the wind and the rain, there might be some fun in admiring a rainy scene beneath this parasol.”
– Toukabou Shigure description
This article will discuss Toukabou Shigure, including where you can get it, its stats, the ascension materials required, and recommended characters.
Where to get Toukabou Shigure
This sword can only be acquired as an event-exclusive weapon during the Akitsu Kimodameshi in-game event. The same is true for its refinement material.
Note that the event only runs from 15 December 2022 to 2 January 2023. After this event, there is no other way of acquiring this weapon unless HoYoverse decides to bring it back, which hasn’t been the case for event-exclusive weapons.
Toukabou Shigure Stats
Below are the stats of this sword:
Level 1-90 Base ATK | 42 – 510 |
Level 1-90 Bonus Stat | Elemental Mastery (EM) 36 – 165 |
Toukabou Shigure Effects
This sword’s passive skill is called Kaidan: Rainfall Earthbinder:
After an attack hits opponents, it will inflict an instance of Cursed Parasol upon one of them for 10s. This effect can be triggered once every 15s. If this opponent is taken out during Cursed Parasol’s duration, Cursed Parasol’s CD will be refreshed immediately. The character wielding this weapon will deal 16% more DMG to the opponent affected by Cursed Parasol.
For every weapon refinement, the DMG bonus that Toukabou Shigure provides when an enemy is affected by the Cursed Parasol is increased by:
1 | 16% |
2 | 20% |
3 | 24% |
4 | 28% |
5 | 32% |

Recommended Characters
If you don’t have the BiS (Best-in-slot) weapons for your EM-scaling sword characters, Toukabou Shigure is a viable option. However, one important thing that you should take note of while using this weapon is that the DMG bonus from the Cursed Parasol only takes effect one enemy at a time and is triggered only when the equipping character is on-field.
Because of this, the craftable 4-star weapon Iron Sting is a better option in AoE gameplay. However, for one-on-one boss battles, you might consider equipping Toukabou Shigure.
Since Dendro Elemental Reactions rely heavily on Elemental Mastery (EM), those who can trigger reactions like Bloom, Hyperbloom, and Aggravate, are good choices for this weapon. This is a good option for the 5-star Electro character Keqing in an Aggaravate Team.
Another character who can take advantage of this sword’s stats and effects is the 5-star Hydro character Nilou, who can trigger Bloom consistently. If you’re planning to use her more as an off-field DPS, however, make sure that she stays on the field for a while to take advantage of this sword’s DMG bonus. The same can be said for off-field characters who can use this sword, including the Dendro Traveler and the 4-star Electro character Kuki Shinobu.
While the 5-star Anemo character Kazuha doesn’t react well with Dendro, he can also use this weapon since he needs Elemental Mastery. This way, he can increase his own damage and provide more Elemental DMG Bonus for his teammates.
