Genshin Impact leaks: Candace model revealed and she’s extremely identical to fanarts

Another of the upcoming Genshin Impact characters had its appearance revealed. The Candace model has been leaked, and her final appearance is identical to her previous fanarts. Fans are going crazy over this as her model is looking great.
What’s more impressive is that Candace is currently one of the “text-only” characters from Sumeru, just like Shikanoin Heizou was until the arrival of 2.8, as no images of him had previously showed up. She had no appearances in the trailer, and she’s not becoming playable during 3.0 either.
Her debut is still scheduled to happen during 3.1, and as the 3.0 beta is already over, it makes for this leak to be even more accurate. That is, if the direct confirmation from other leakers isn’t enough for you.
Candace model revealed, extremely similar to fanarts
Her modal was revealed in the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit. At first, users couldn’t believe it was real as she was identical to her fanarts, but Ubatcha personally confirmed it as the real thing. Sooner, SaveYourPrimos also made a post on the model, confirming its veracity.
This revealed Candace model is seemly done, as it looks like it’s in a similar state to the Al Haitham model previously revealed last month. His model didn’t receive any major changes during the Sumeru reveal trailer, so it’s safe to assume this is how she’ll look like.

Amazing, right? Players started their own conspiracy theories about the artist, having previously seen the model beforehand, as even small details are exactly on point. A similar event happened before Dori was revealed, but the final design had some clear differences.
Other artists also gave their own shot at drawing her, such as Sandra. This one was posted on Reddit and later stated to be a redraw of her official art. Note that this isn’t her Splash Art, but other art from HoYoverse.
Another character design was also highly praised by leakers. Artists also have drawn Mika, an upcoming character from Mondstadt, and most of them were told they were in the right direction. So given the circumstances, it will be no surprise if he becomes another “fanart to game” character.

This whole situation is the complete opposite of pre-release Heizou. Part of the fandom took his initial fanarts, based on his descriptions of NPCs and characters’ dialogues, as his “canon” design. This led to an obvious letdown when he was officially announced.
When is Candace coming to the game?
As previously said, she’s scheduled to be released during 3.1 version. Leakers have confirmed her as a 4-star Hydro Polearm. If that’s correct, she’ll be the first 4-star Hydro to be introduced since 1.0 and the first Hydro Polearm user in the game.
As for which banner she’ll be in, we can’t be sure. Kusanali might be introduced as playable in 3.1, and she could be accompanying her, but it’s not yet confirmed. Besides, Candace might be on a completely separate banner. For her kit, we have some information on her possibly being a shielder.
While the Candace model will most likely not receive any big changes, her final kit is completely subject to change. People expect her to have HP scalings, as it’s a common trend between both support and Hydro characters, and the Hydro resonance will also receive an update to grant extra HP in the 3.0 update.
