Genshin Impact leak hints at Childe and Yoimiya event

Whenever the Traveler and Paimon visit a new nation, it’s already expected for the duo to learn about that nation’s problems and eventually help solve them. This cycle is something that fans can expect as the map of Teyvat expands.
However, the game’s small events can sometimes be surprising. Interestingly, a leak suggests that Childe and Yoimiya will meet in a future event.
This future event was mentioned by known Genshin Impact leaker Ubatcha, and here’s everything that we know so far.
What is the Childe and Yoimiya event about?
Earlier this month, Ubatcha tweeted about an event featuring Childe and Yoimiya. However, the leaker only said that it’s “just cute fun” without sharing what the event’s story will be about.

Just recently, the same leaker provided more details related to the previous leak, saying that the event will have something to do with the Great Mujina Youkai.

Do you recall the Quest in Inazuma mentioning the Great Mujina Youkai?
That’s what the Yoimiya and Childe event will revolve around! [1/2]
If you don’t recall what the Great Mujina Youkai is, it’s described by one of the kids in Yoimiya‘s Story Quest as “a sneaky monster that goes ’round playing tricks on people.”
Apart from this, the leaker also mentioned how Childe and Yoimiya would meet, saying:
Childe was passing through Inazuma looking for Onikabuto since Teucer wanted them and found a kid heading straight into some monsters. After saving him, the kid brought Childe to Yoimiya where he became the “Anti-Mujina Specialist.” [2/2]
This little detail about the event will definitely excite Childe fans as this would most likely give more insight into the character’s brotherly role rather than being one of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers.

On the other hand, this leak about the Childe and Yoimiya event can be linked to what BLANK, another known leaker, shared regarding the game’s future banners. It can be recalled that the leaker mentioned Childe, also known as Tartaglia, possibly having a banner rerun in Version 3.2.
While Yoimiya will presumably be present in this event, it’s worth noting that she recently had her rerun in Version 2.8, so it won’t be possible to have another rerun for her soon.
Genshin Impact is an action role-playing game developed by miHoyo, also known as HoYoverse. The game is available for PC, PS4, PS5, iOS, and Android, while a release on Nintendo Switch is currently in the works.
