Genshin Impact: How to activate the giant machine’s energy system

As part of the quest Dune-Entombed Fecundity: Part II, you’ll be tasked with activating a Ruin Golem again, requiring you to activate the giant machine’s energy system.
You may well be familiar with this process by this point, as there’s a very similar task that takes place in mainland Sumeru you may have already completed in a separate quest.
If you happen to be struggling to complete it this time around, you’re likely just missing out on seeing one of the steps you need to activate the giant machine’s energy system once again, so let’s see if we can find out which step you’re missing.
How to activate the giant machine’s energy system
Starting from the middle floor, you need to grab an energy cell that can be found near the central elevator. If you’re not sure what floor you’re on by this stage from having tried to solve this yourself, seek out Azariq. He stays on the middle floor exclusively during this sequence.
After finding the first power cell, you’ll need to scan the outside wall of this floor and look for a gateway with bars covered in glowing Ruin script markings. There are two such doors on this floor, one opens with only one energy cell needed.
Put your only energy cell thus far into the key slot on the ground to open the door, head inside and grab the second energy cell available there. Now that you’ve got it, make sure to draw the first one back out, as you no longer have need of this particular door being open.
You can now repeat this same trick with another door located on the same floor, requiring 2 power cells to open to gain access to a third.
After claiming the third power cell, you’re near enough finished here. Grab the first two back out of the placed power cell slot, and return to the middle of the room. You’ll need all three for the next step, so make sure not to forget any.

Here you’ll find the previously mentioned elevator, which you’ll need to take down one floor to activate the giant machine’s energy system with your newly acquired power cells.
Search around the elevator for a button on the ground that looks identical to the powered slots you’ve been using the energy cells in to set the elevator on the course for the lower floor, then simply step inside for a quick trip down one floor.
From here, plug the cells into the power generators and finally activate the giant machine’s energy system, completing the quest objective. All you need to do now is head back up in the elevator to the top floor.
