Recommended Characters
Haran Geppaku Futsu is generally a good weapon for Main DPS sword characters who need to stay on-field using Normal Attacks. However, to fully maximize its Elemental Damage bonus, it only follows that this sword would be best suited for characters who can deal Elemental Damage consistently at the same time.
Haran Geppaku Futsu is the signature weapon of the 5-star Hydro character Kamisato Ayato and fits his playstyle perfectly, making it his BiS (best-in-slot) weapon. This is because after Ayato uses his Elemental Skill, the damage from his Normal Attacks will be converted into AoE Hydro DMG. Moreover, his Burst deals AoE Hydro DMG for quite some time and increases the damage of his Normal Attacks.
On the other hand, if you don’t have Mistsplitter Reforged, the signature weapon of the 5-star Cryo character Kamisato Ayaka, then her brother’s sword is an option. She can infuse her Normal Attacks with Cryo after making her sprint. However, note that since Ayaka is mostly equipped with the Blizzard Strayer artifact set in a Freeze Team, the CRIT Rate that Haran Geppaku Futsu gives might go to waste. You will need to check her CRIT Rate stat, the Cryo Resonance, and the passive that her artifact set provides before considering this sword for her.
Another character whom you might consider for Haran Geppaku Futsu is the 4-star Cryo character Kaeya as a Main DPS. While he doesn’t have Elemental infusions, his relatively low-cost damage-over-time Burst and low cooldown Skill can take advantage of the Elemental DMG bonus the sword provides. However, again, we recommend this for the Main DPS Kaeya, as this is the only role where you can take advantage of the Normal ATK increase.
