Genshin Impact - Place of Swallowing, how to follow the stone slate's guidance and obtain full clearance - Dual Evidence

Last Updated on: 16th October 2022, 09:36 am

At the beginning of the Dual Evidence world quest in Genshin Impact, you will need to go to the location indicated by the stone slate. However, the quest doesn’t end here. You will also need to “follow the stone slate’s guidance and obtain full clearance.” With this objective, one of the locations that you need to explore is the Place of Swallowing.

The ruins or ancient temples in the desert area of Sumeru are filled with mysterious mechanisms and puzzles. The Place of Swallowing is no different. Solving the puzzle in this area is vital to completing this quest’s particular objective. To be specific, the Place of Swallowing is one (1) among three (3) areas that you need to explore to “obtain full clearance.”

This guide will help you “follow the stone slate’s guidance and obtain full clearance” in the Place of Swallowing.

How to go to and solve the puzzles in the Place of Swallowing

In order for you to “follow the stone slate’s guidance and obtain full clearance” in Dual Evidence, click on the quest objective or go to the Paimon Menu > Inventory > Quest Items > Scarlet Sand Slate.

In the Delving Deeper tab of the slate, you should find Place of Swallowing. Then, you can click Go to know the quest location. Teleport to the nearest waypoint to the area indicated on the map below. This location is the same as the one indicated by the stone slate at the beginning of the Dual Evidence world quest.

Now that you are in the location, follow the steps below:

STEP 1: Release and follow the three (3) Primal Embers in the area until they reach the entrance of the room to your right. The two embers on the right and left sides are not seen in the image below, but you should find them in the locations we pointed out.

Take note that just like some previous puzzles in the desert ruins, there are huge fan blades in the area that will turn on and off. As you should be aware by now, Primal Embers get blown away by these fans, so it is vital to release them only when the fans are at rest. Below are the fan blades that you should watch out for:

For the Primal Ember at the center, watch out for these fan blades:

STEP 2: Once you have gathered all there (3) Primal Embers at the entrance of the next room, follow them until they reach their designated Primal Torches. If you did this one by one, that is also fine.

Once the three Primal Embers are placed on their torches, the clearance in the Place of Swallowing should be completed. Again, this is only one (1) out of three (3) from the “follow the stone slate’s guidance and obtain full clearance” objective.
